First Nation leaders urge Ontario to disband Thunder Bay police | Canada Tonight

First Nation leaders from northwestern Ontario are calling for the Thunder Bay Police Service to be disbanded and for an outside service to investigate recent deaths. The police service board said it will ‘use community feedback to help strengthen policies and procedures.’ Documentarian Jon Thompson, who made a film about the loss of Indigenous lives, says there is a 'failure for the systems to change’ despite recommendations.
