We went to the first halloween party on Friday night, the queues were absolutely ridiculous, we arrived just before 4pm jack and sally were 170minute queue already, and they so called only start at 7pm. seven dwarfs was posted as over 2 hours all night other than during the fireworks when it dropped to 30 mins so we went then- ended up queuing for nearly an hour so missed the fireworks and was still nowhere near the front so we left the queue. Disney are selling far too many tickets for these so called “limited capacity” events!

The “limited capacity” thing was something we were talking about all night long! None of that means anything if there’s not enough things going on to spread out the crowd. somehow they have it down in california. It broke my heart to see Isabelle so upset at being there. :( I don't do well in very large crowds, so I get that overwhelming feeling all too well. Isabelle's outfit was fire, as was yours, Ryan. Glad to hear that Oogie Boogie Bash has your heart. I think the way they run that event is much better, especially with the treat trails. I agree! For a ticketed event, it felt way too crowded and the lines were extremely long. I had high expectations too and trying to meet special characters would sacrifice so much party time. The fireworks show was disappointing too

I love how honest you guys are. It’s very refreshing. We are going on Tuesday night but my friend is a pass holder and she bought them the 1st day they went on sale. They were only $80ish at that point. I’m eager to see how it will be. We haven’t been since 2018. It was really crowded but still a lot of fun. So sorry you guys didn’t enjoy yourself. Apparently on nights of the event Jack and Sally start doing their meet and greets as early as 4 PM for guests with party tickets. So that’s definitely the first one you should go to since it’s available so early on. Seven dwarves will be the next longest line, you can start queuing around four, but the line doesn’t officially open till I think six or 615. Best piece of advice that we could give is to make a solid game plan, but we willing to change it in a heartbeat. It’s a crazy event, but you got this! 🙌❤️

Yeah, it is crazy just how expensive these parties are. The biggest thing about these parties is that you can’t do everything, which really stinks. I think they really need more ride overlays to help eat up some of the crowds and disperse people.

Yeah I am not doing that this year when I go in September. Though I did have a good time last year. It’s just that it doesn’t look that different than last year. Except Monster Inc. characters were always out dancing. As well as characters from the movie Zombies out dancing. This year doesn’t seem like characters are out dancing. The plus this year I will miss, is they shovel candy into your bags. Rather than just giving you a small handful.

Disney World really doesn’t change the event much from year to year other than a few recycled characters. never really any new debuting stuff anymore.. 🤷‍♂️ Definitely not a MUST DO this year 😢

Oogie Boogie Bash does look way better. I mean I’d never meet a character at Not So Scary unless it was the Headless Horseman. Oogie Boogie, I’d try to do everything. I just never have been to California.

My husband and I come for a week of hhn for October every year and will stop by Disney for a day or two. We did mickeys not so scary last year and hated it. We used to do it back when it was around 80 per person and used to be able to ride everything, last year all the lines were long and there were too many people it was the worst part about our Disney stop. We would have had way more fun if we just park hopped over one night instead. I appreciate the honest review! And I agree! You do have me wanting to do oogie boogie bash though so maybe next year!

Honestly, HHN is 100% the way to go! Some people just gotta get over the “scary” hump first 😆 I can’t believe it has doubled in price so quickly! And they clearly are also increasing park capacity for these events too! Definitely a hard pass for us from now on 😅🙏❤️

Aside from the cost, limited time, and technical difficulties the biggest takeaway is the first party night crowds are always too much and if these other nights also sold out I wonder if the lines etc get any better.. Honestly as a first time Disney Halloween partygoer I liked the firework show from the hub I saw Jack Skellington on stage and clean projections including Zero on the castle. From your eyes that view from main st I wouldn’t have as much fun.. if you saw the hocus pocus villain spelltacular they just took all the classic baddies to the stage for a few minutes which is nice but like you said Cali just looks better.

We definitely should have done more research before the first party. Unfortunately Isabelle doesn’t do well in large crowds so we rarely if ever are able to watch the fireworks shows from the hub. 100% we knew going into it that we probably wouldn’t like the party (or any party at magic kingdom for that matter) since we already payed hundreds of dollars to be able to hang out at MK any night we feel like it. We gave it a shot and got out of it what we put in. But in our opinion the event’s tank was only half full and we unfortunately drive an electric ⚡️😆 Appreciate you checking out the video, thank you 🙏❤️
