I went on this ship back in Aug, 2023. I got onboard around 530. Got me 8 beers, got trashed. I didn't get off the ship at Freeport, been there done that. I stayed on board, bought a bunch more booze and got drunk again. 😂. I won some kind of contest later that night and the cruise director bought me 3 margaritas. So, yeah, it's a booze cruise for sure. 😂

Yes, why not. I wouldn’t expect much for $75. A lot of people take this ship as a means of transport to Grand Bahamas, spend a week at a resort there, then take Margaritaville at sea back to Florida. I’m interested in seeing what their “new” ship is going to offer this summer and what they learned from their first ship

I've been on this cruise, for the money, it was fantastic. A lot in this video is overblown and played up. Is it perfect, no, but for a quick getaway weekend, it was awesome. Staff was amazing, drinks were good,food was better than other, and everyone just had so much fun. I mean, what do you think you're going to get for under a $100. It was FUN! You blow $100 at the bar on a night out at home... Look at it for what it is and just have fun.

Its not just $75 like the guy says, not even just $100, your fare is cheap however the taxes, port fees, and expenses is ranged around $110 per person in top of the fare, also a $18 gratuity and $15 fuel surcharge, each per person per day added to your onboard acct. oh and not forget the $57 valet parking which is the only option at moment because its inside the port. I just got off the ship, two adults and a child, final bill was $813. It’s a rip off. this guy is spot on.

I have sailed twice on the ship: once when it was the Classica and once as MAS Paradise. There are TEN lovely cabins with amazing balconies on this ship. It’s a good ship to see if you would get sea sick or not because it only goes about 75 miles and you can hardly tell you are moving. We had wonderful meals in the main dining room which was better than the buffet. We swam with the pigs 🐷 twice - such a memorable experience. Give it a go! 🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢

“Somehow had more capacity at 3300.” So most cabins in the titanic had far more simple and smaller accommodations then what is on the margaritaville ship. For example almost no cabins besides the best of the 1st class cabins had their own bathroom. Additionally the lowest class cabins like the 3rd class essentially were small rooms with bunkbeds in a configuration similar to old naval ships. This means you basically have 4 beds in a cramped single cabin in a space that’s basically smaller than even the interior rooms. As such you could get far more rooms in a smaller space with more beds thus allowing for more guests. If anyone was curious.

My husband and I had fun on Margaritaville at sea back in November 2022..we didn't eat the buffett but the food was great at the Steakhouse and the main dining room. We had fun at sail away party and salsa dancing at night. We also had fun in Freeport Bahamas..we did the day pass at Taino Beach resort and had a fun beach and pool day and the Bahamian food we ate at the restaurant at the resort was amazing. We cruise often on other cruise lines and tried Margaritaville at Sea and enjoyed it...would I go back on it? Likely no but we did enjoy it. Oh and the bed on Margaritaville was the most comfy bed than all the other cruise lines we've been on.

I also use the hero's sail free, and I'm going on there newer ship coming out it June. The staff is amazing and the steak house is excellent. I will go on this ship again and again. Went in March and had a completely different experience. Going back in June and looking forward to it. Room was clean, buffet and main dining was on par with Carnival. Pizza was really good too. Lol The two main shows were both amazing, especially the one with the live band.

As a faithful "Parrothead" since the 1970s, it's disappointing to see the Margaritaville brand treated in this manner, with a sub par cruise line literally trying to stay afloat by offering cheap, poorly reviewed cruises. People have been wondering if the brand and concept will be sustainable now that Jimmy is gone, since his music and concert tours fueled other divisions of the Buffett empire. Guess we'll have to wait and see, but it seems like maybe the cruise partnership wasn't the best idea. I am looking forward to visiting Margaritaville Island in San Diego if it ever opens. Seems like the perfect place for a Margaritaville-themed resort, but the pandemic, as well as demands from the California Coastal Commission, have seriously delayed the project. The main thing that puts me off cruises is the ridiculous hostility towards cannabis, taken to ludicrous extremes by a lot of cruise lines. Margaritaville seems to be the one and only cruise line that seems to be getting it right. I'd definitely consider a cruise if I knew I wasn't going to be hassled with crap like urang-utans sniffing around your cabin while you're at the bar and reporting shit like sightings of vape pens and 'smells' resulting in people being ejected etc.

There is a new Margaritaville hotel on Ft. Myers Beach. For just one day, wth our dogs, it would be 260.00 plus tax for the room, 100.00 for the dogs, 35.00 for the day to park, another 100.00 service fee. And that doe not include any overpriced food. No thank you! 500.00 for an overnight stay? I'll take the cruise any day! I hope the hotel fails. I really think it will. People here do not have the resources to pay those big bucks, especially after Hurricane Ian decimated the entire beach. Corporate greed on display!

My wife and I have cruised on this ship 3 separate times and have always managed to enjoy ourselves. If you’re expecting the same amenities you’ll find on the bigger, more elaborate ships, yes, you’ll be disappointed. What people fail to realize is that this boat is more of a shuttle to and from the Bahamas than a traditional cruise ship. For the price, it’s a nice little 3 day getaway. If you lower your expectations and realize that you “get what you pay for”, you may actually have a good time.

I called them to ask about hidden fees. A $75 cruise ended up being around $500 with taxes, port charges, required billed tips, parking at the port. It was for 1 person. It felt bad paying all those charges for just two nights, so I passed. I’ve never seen the shops at the port closed, there’s A Harley Davidson, wow. There was a tiny cruise ship with an above ground pool with glass walls that I loved going on, really enjoyed that one out of there once.

My amount when I called and asked for the details did include an excursion to swim with the pigs in Eleuthera, one of the day trips. That can easily be cancelled last minute though, lack of communication there. I really want to see them. As for getting your money's worth via cheeseburgers, they aren't that good to begin with at the Margaritaville restaurant. They are priced like that because of the great atmosphere, not the quality of the burgers. The erupting margaritas volcano and live music with the big screen videos make the not-so-great overpriced burgers worthwhile.

My aunt is always looking for deals... so she attended one of those timeshare pitch seminars in Orlando for some Disney tickets. While there, she saw a different pitch group offering 2 free tickets on the Margaritaville cruise. I asked her how it was? She'll only say, 'it's worth the price.' I'm not sure if she means the face value of the tix or the time spent to get the tix or the time spent on the ship.

My better half and I enjoy this cruise ship often. They let both of us cruise once a year for free because my wife is a veteran. The boat is a little rough around the edges but the crew is amazing. We go back to the same bartender and he takes care of us. You can take a bus to a local hotel with beach which is beautiful (Margaritaville has a deal with them). Have smoked more than one Cohiba in the water on that beach. I have cruised on ships of much higher caliber and even an Amazon river cruise but when on the cheap where you just want to get away you can’t beat it.

Any cruise ship that allows TWO squattros can’t be that bad but after your honest review we realize they can. I’ve been on the ship as well as many other cruise lines. I think if you go with a good attitude, ready to enjoy yourself, you’ll have fun. We took at taxi to the beach at Grand Bahamas, did a banana boat ride, and really enjoyed it! I thought the food was pretty good. We had a lot of fun dancing and shows and staff were great! I think if you go ready to put your nose up at everything, then you won’t have a good time because you’re too worried about a bubble in the wallpaper rather than enjoying a nice trip with friends. For the money, it’s an excellent, quick getaway. I plan on going again.

It's a booze cruise. That's why the passenger numbers are low, it's a cargo route that can't survive on cargo alone so they take passengers at a very low price and try to gouge them on drinks and added extras. Very normal in Europe, but you need a destination nearby across international waters that doesn't count as a full international crossing, hence the use of Freeport rather than somewhere in the Bahamas tourists would actually want to visit, so not something you get often in the US.

Last July we happened to get promotional tickets which were free. Now docking, gratuity etc. can fetch well over $150/person. It was almost midnight when the ac kicked on and we had found ourselves at the loading port asking to be taken off the ship which prompted the captains to speak to us. The entire staff did their best to comfort us and recompensed us with JWB steak dinner tonight hat was phenomenal. The buffet was all you can eat quality, the burgers were probably best. A cheap getaway. Yes at Grand Bahama or island they have a Señor Frogs and Harley Davidson spot in these shops that looks abandoned. BTW that secret beach video I have on KZbin is from my Margaritaville vacation, Taino beach is the best excursion. Ultimately the locals live off tourism and travel. Discovery cruise in the 90’s?

This is one of the best cruise review videos that I have ever seen.....and I watched it because I have seen several from this same ship from different channels. Best one so far. You both seem like fun dudes. $75 is a cheap price for that much fun.....but you did have to share a bed, right? lol. Anyway, I loved the way you were staying positive but at the same time, pointed out the flaws. The many flaws. I have thought about booking a cruise on this with my son lol. I live in Indiana, obviously it will cost more than $75, but still, expectations are important and what a better way to find out than this. Thank you for your service lmao. Glad you guys had fun! Also, do you need a passport for a cruise like this?

Thank you so much for the glowing review!! No, you do not need a passport for this particular cruising. There was a separate check in line just for guests with only their birth certificate (which you do need)
