First Of The New Grass Getting Drilled & Budget Blow Out On New Tyres!

I've had 70mm of rain over the last couple of days which is exactly what the farm needed and its responding nicely.
I need to get the new grass planted pronto while the growing conditions are still nice and warm so it gives it a good start.
Had to buy new tires for the New Holland and I'm also looking to purchase a boarder spreading kit for the Kverneland to.

Put some of your silage bales on the front of the clamp to seal and get some weight on. Great video as always.

Have you,or any of your friends or neighbours,used Tow and fert system for liquid foliar feed fertiliser,thinking of going down that route

Not that I know of, I was interested but got talked out of it. Interesting concept but there no real hard evidence out there that supports it. I find just using granular fert is easy to

I got a question. Do farmers in your part of the world not purchase equipment like combines and drills? Is it more cost effective to hire it out like you do it. I was just wondering

Not really, for the amount of cropping we do it’s not worth it, money wise and you’ve also got to find time to plant etc and it’s during our busy season on farm. Some people have their own drills for grass though. Just easier to get a contractor in 👍

Why go with the earlier heading ryegrass? We chase the latest heading to maintain quality as long as possible before it goes stalky and reproductive 🤷‍♂️
