On your frosty fridge, it could be the door seal you’re having trouble with. Just found your channel. Safe travels ✌️

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’m honestly such an introvert in my daily life, but I love when people leave nice comments such as yours. Re: the fridge, I actually had it adjusted under warranty but it continues to do it. My best guess right now is the heat generated by the compressor is enough to cause a warm spot on the inside, but the cold air produced creates the condensation. Interestingly, it doesn’t continue to increase like one of those freezer sections in a mini-fridge, so I could still be wrong. I honestly want to pull the fridge out to do some investigation but I feel like that’s a two-person job for the future. Out of curiosity, what sort of RV content do you like? It’s my intention to create multi-episode, long-format trip/adventure videos of off-grid camping supplemented with my favourite stuff - gear and modifications. Lol.

I believe that the canopy placement with door makes the stow inside steps difficult because door will not open all the way

@@JosePerez-sj3mq Hey, thanks for taking the time to respond. There actually isn’t any interference with the awning, it was just a design decision made by Winnebago. I’ve decided I’m going to replace the steps because I HATE the sound of them clattering about when driving down gravel roads. It’s distracting to me as well as other campers in the area and really makes the whole trailer appear like a bucket of bolts rather than an expensive product. I’ve also encountered a few scenarios already this year camping on uneven ground so I’m going to get the longer 3-step version because with the existing two steps, the final distance to ground can be very long and I almost injured my ankle once and that would have had significant impact on my trip.

Hey, that’s awesome! In all honesty, I really gave a LOT of consideration to a non-FLX and then adding my own accessories to it. In fact, I have a video coming out soon on the 2023 / 2024 differences and I mention one change Winnebago did that makes this decision even more difficult for people. Nevertheless, I’ve honestly been loving the trailer off-grid and off-road. I’m sooooo behind on editing videos right now, but I did a 20-day off-grid trip back in July and I’m heading out again this weekend. It’s really been a game changer but it’s also given me a clear focus where I’ll be focusing my attention (and money lol) next year and I’m going to keep pestering Winnebago to provide users with options in the future as well. In fact, I’m planning to do a ‘year in review’ trip/video not this weekend but next weekend where I reflect back on my experience with the product. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment. I honestly appreciate it. - Colin

I have a 2019 1808fbs that I added 220 watts of solar on the roof, a 100ah lithium battery in a wood/fiberglass battery box that I built and added right where the stock battery would go on the tongue, the box also has a thermostat and heater, and doesn't impact my cargo storage space. My charge controller is in the cupboard above the sink so I can always monitor my charging system and I have a 1000w inverter. The system is well balanced and provides very good boon dock ability. Total cost around 1,500 bucks.
