@@mikemartin2423 Ed passed away before Neighbor could be built. Cleetus bought that Crown Vic for Ed, his neighbor, to be able to do what Cooper, James, George and others have done. Ed lived accross the street in the early days of the channel. Cleet had most of his neighbors complaining but Ed wanted to see more burnouts and did some himself. He was good people.

@@Tomford.888. leeroys a overhead cam engine, the plugs go no where near the headers. Even with no hood vette bays are still really tight and the heat still gets trapped in there , stainless headers don't help ,stainless gets hot af , a good heat coating will reduce temps plus maybe some decent heat wrap. That's how I've done the manifolds on my turbo buick v6 as I don't wanna be melting leads all the time. Power doesn't melt leads heat does and more power doesn't create extra heat.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest you check to make sure the butterflies and barrel valve are in sync. Sound like the barrel valve is closing when the butterflies open. I worked on and A fuel dragster and we also ran a front engine top fueler that had this same issue.

I agree I like what neighbor represents in the channel but I can't blame him for not using it unless there's a crowd, that timing chain needs regular replacements and that hogs up shop time. Cheaper and easier to leave it parked and avoid the maintenance as much as possible.

Even though the fuel pump was bad on toast, the 2 minutes it drove under its own power and the fact that it’s one of my favourite projects makes the short run worth it. Once you guys had him running on all 8 the sound alone of the surging was making me get all giddy like a teenager again. I have always loved big power and large cubic inches, just can’t afford to build it myself. Some would say why, but diving into a dedicated burnout car is a lot most trial and error to setup right then the trying and true drag/drift setus

That would indeed be a quite good idea, some places around the world has stuff like that run by some of the police departements even... i know australia has a Tropper VUS that goes to the Drag strip every week. Slogan is something like come try your car against a police car here, not on the street. Shoot. That thing will never let them down. They need to get someone else to go with them on RMRW. The event has 12 and 13-sec indexes. Very unlikely to win considering you have to go dang near .00 to win an index class, but it's a workhorse and race weeks are known to bring out awesome weird builds.

@@zachblair463 it's not that bad man 🤣 I don't wear mine outside and yet to even see a cop , might be a different story in the city though lol Where they're based is rural Victoria roughly 1.5/2hrs from Melbourne, not a lot of cop action going on out that way. I'm in the south western suburbs of Melbourne and seen maybe 3 cops in the last 18 months lol vicpole is actually very short staffed ,has been for yrs so they're spread pretty thin atm .

All about cost, neighbor requires regular timing chain replacements to not eat itself making less power then the LSs on the fleet. Cool build but if you go back and watch it from the start it was a steep and expensive learning curve to get where it is today.
