Great video. Is it possible to combine different bends on one tooth? For example combine a z bend with a step bend?
@irfansinstituteofclinicalortho2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Possible

Are there any limits for applying the wire on those teeth: lateral (1:55) and canine (4:58) ? I think in terms of force applied to these teeth and the possibility of causing necrosis, in cases where the lateral incisor is situated too palatal and the canine too intrusive.
@irfansinstituteofclinicalortho3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Forces should be light and continuous ideally. That's the reason we start with very light wires and gradually increase the force levels. And movements are also gradual
@irfansinstituteofclinicalortho3 жыл бұрын
When teeth are extremely displaced then sometimes v occasionally you can't engage that tooth and have to bring that tooth in alignment slowly with ligature wire and niti wire combination just to reduce force magnitude

Dr. you mean we can use the open coil with round SS wire in addition to the NiTi wire? and the intraoral elastics can't be used with NiTi wire?
@irfansinstituteofclinicalortho3 жыл бұрын
No i didn't say that in this video. But you are right that springs and elastics are avoided with thin wires
