First peek at Rennebu in FS22

A little update about the project. It's going forward, there is progress, all though maybe not as fast as I wish.
The focus is now on making production buildings and sell points, before I continue to spice up the environment and farm buildings.
Converting a big map from 19 to 22 takes a lot of time. Some things even had to be recreated from scratch.
You can be sure I put heart and soul into this, and I hope you will enjoy the map when it is complete. :)
The white buildings around the map is still temp and placeholder, and represent the building which eventually will become a placeable. I guess that shows the sheer amount of work left as well. :)

Looking at your screenshots, I assumed this was a regular 4x map and was like okay. I dont read descriptions. I hop in and my breath is taken away. You have made a masterpiece. 16x?!?! Really looking forward to your map as stated on your previous video. However (and I don't mean that as criticism) the FS22 looks a lot brighter than the FS19 version. It's probably due to the revised engine and lighting effects which makes me a bit worried about the atmosphere on the map. Would be interesting to see the FS 22 version in the different seasons and under different lighting effects.

Wooow, so this map is really beautiful. Totally reminds me of my surroundings here in Bavaria near the Alps. You have really succeeded very very well, my fullest respect, because to build a normal map is already extremely time-consuming, but a map in 8x8 km is already a masterstroke. Many thanks for your release of the map! Stay tuned in any case with you ... The road traffic is very close to each other in some places. When driving over the middle bridge further to field 65 in the direction of the mill is always a traffic jam at the left junction, is that intentional or does that happen on its own. Take a look at it...

Hi! Glad you like it :) The traffic issue is well known and documented but I have no clue yet how to fix it :( When I have time in between other things I will try to figure it out. Worst case I get rid of traffic in that area. :)

Hi, really a beautiful map. I love the natural look. But is there a plan to add walk-in-functionality to the barns of the norway buildings pack. Only trigger to fill / unload isn't exciting. Would be nice to access the barns and see cow and sheep inside and maybe have trigger to feed also inside. Or a runout? At the moment everything looks so static. ;)

Hi :) you're not the first to ask, and I get it. The truth is complex; - I only have so much time for modding. Interiors in confined space is quite complex and take a lot of time. - Things must fit, and things must give enough space for whatever you want to do. Farm buildings in Norway and this area are small. You won't fit any vehicle. - you're free to contribute! If you make an interior model I'd be happy to guide and give feedback and make it work.

Kickass map, thx for the hard you put in it. As I've said on Twich, it's just a black magick what you do(the good kind😆). You mentioned grocery store, I assume, when the map would be available to the public, I could go to XML and mess around wit it to accept stuff like fish and all the rest fruittypes from mods by TheSnake?

This map looks amazing. Only problem I have encountered with it, you cannot finish a contract. I tried with no mods, only those required for the map, and always ends with 99% competed. Not 1 grain left on the field.

Sadly nothing I've tried have fixed this. :( It's only a guess as I have not, and probably will not get a response from Giants about this; The map is exceeding the *supported* map size. Things may, and will break. In this map, contracts seems to be what breaks. :(

Why are some of the buildings transparent on this map? Been on the last to updates. Is it a bug in the building pack? Be nice to know since the map is very good :)

They are placeholders for future buildings. I made it that way so future updates of the pack won't require a new savegame. It may be annoying now but one day the map will flourish to life as the buildings are completed and all you have to do is download the latest update whenever it goes live :)

I love the map, but I am very disappointed about the base of the fs22 map, it look like it not as colorful as it should be. it look like need more colors to it, like green is not that green, it look like very dry green. But this is because of FS22 base game... Nice map, totally changes feature of the game. Giants expensive developers cant make nothing even close to it. Wish all the best

I don't know. Sadly just a couple days after this video was made I was hacked and have lost all my source files (3D models, 3D scan data, documents, reference photos etc..) So right now I have absolutely no clue if I ever will get the files back or not. If I don't... I fear the map will either be a a worse version than what I had envisioned, or it will take more time to make it complete. :(

De hvite plassholderne er importert rett inn i kartet. Det hadde vært ryddigere nå som jeg kan mer, å gjøre dem om til placeables, men fokuset har ligget andre steder. :)

The development started in FS19, but as FS22 was announced about this time last year, I had no intention to release it to FS19 anymore as there would be no time to do so. There are also technical reasons for this transition. Without the new tech running behind the scenes in FS22, the map wouldn't be as fun and perform as good as it does. :) All development is now done in FS22. There will not be a Rennebu map in FS19.
