The bad thing about using summer tires in very cold weather such as temperatures below 30 degrees fahrenheit is that they may crack. Now about the shifts you're damn right about that! I own a 16 z06 auto. The shifts at redline are quick, aggressive, and hard! You get a kick from the rear end everytime it shifts. It's awesome! I just wish the gearing was better. I know in the z51 base model and grandsport the gearing is shorter. You change into 6th gear by 150. While in the non z51, z06, and zr1 you shift into 6th gear until 170.
