I understand economy of scale and marketing. But it looks just like an 890adventure with the windshield cut and the road rims! It was better to call it just KTM 890Super Turismo... What does it do with a supermoto?

Agreed, wpuld look much better imo. That sumo front guard looks like some amateur add on, like peeps trying to make their 690 supermoto look like a smc.

With all the options why wouldn’t you just get a 450-690sm and a 890 Adv?....seems like a weird combo that probably why the old one didn’t sell to much. They are cool for sure but most SM people want less electronics and weight.....

As an owner of 11 previous KTMs: NO. A mediocre mish mash of parts bin fodder resulting in far LESS than the old 2012 SMT I also owned.

Not even close to ugliest, in fact it's one of KTM's best looking bike since the 1290 Super Duke. The new RC390 take that place as the ugliest bike of the bunch.

@@user-ev6xm8pz8v Just because the majority of a "forum" said it's ugly, doesn't mean that i have to accept their words. From my view KTM have nailed the "Supermoto Tourer" on the 890 SMT: An adventure bike but with street tires and wheels for better handling. It's the same case with the 690 Enduro and the SMC R: A Dirt bike but with street wheels.

The 990 SMR is the uglier bike lol. It looks like a defect child of a Supermoto and a Touring bike. This new 890 is far better example of a Supermoto Touring: An Adventure Rally bike but with road tires and wheels, just like a Supermoto: A dirt bike with street tires and wheels.
