I love it man.. great car.. back in the early 2000s I owned an XD with a stage 3 383 stroker clevo in it, peter Jackson noisy gear drive, 4 speed top loader with square cut gears and a phase 5 body kit with wheel arch flares etc... I miss that beast so much and wish I never sold it... I've owned V8 falcons for the last 20 years up to the FG XR8 which I unfortunately wrote off 😑😔.. I now drive a 2001 AUII XR8 Ute 4spd auto with all the tickford options including factory momo steering wheel, full body kit and roll bar.. it looks nice for an AU... its stock bar full exhaust with pacemaker extractors, hiflo cats and its in immaculate condition with 350,000km on it - most reliable falcon I've owned (paid $5000 for it 4 years ago and it doesn't have a single oil leak and everything works.. paint job looks new still) and is the best sounding V8 I've owned apart from the XD...

Never sell it, find a way to get by but never sell it. I liked the XD and more so the XE and with a 5.8 L is the cream. A mate of mine had one in red and lowered, it turned heads back in the mid 80's. I still own my V8 HQ one tonner. Being from a rural background it was the car all us young blokes wanted back in the 1980's. Bought it in 1995 finished it in 2000 and reengineering it now I am in my 50's with power steering, Supra 5 speed manual, suspension work, new leather bucket seats and changing the 253 to a crate 308 before a respray. @@MindieJ So you don't have a liking for a particular car and you put your passion into to it? If cars are a sport for you well that makes sense. It is fair enough that you doubled your money but that is because these cars like the XE are appreciating now and in another five years it will probably double again to the point you might not ever afford one again. That is the story of so many blokes my age, looking back at the car they had but can no longer afford. I know if I sold my HQ or VZ Monaro, in 5 years I could not afford to replace them. That is why if you really like a car keep it. You must not have liked the XE that much that the two cars you got for it satisfied you. In that case fine, no regrets. What cars did you buy? I find most blokes on the Ford XD XE XF group on FB to be not bad, seen a couple of your posts in the group but I must have missed out on the auto swap post. Definetly saw that immaculate XE ESP that you had recently posted, that thing looked mint. Well done with the videos, I enjoy watching them. What diff gears are you running btw, factory?

Yeh they’re usually good but this seemed to strike a nerve for some reason, yeh my boss’s ESP is crazy

I understand what you are talking about with auto swap and old men critics. The same people went to a restaurant in 1981 and tried garlic bread and didn't like it and have never tried it since. I have a highly modified FPV Super Pursuit Ute and it's auto and I have fg g6e and it's auto and a 92 fairlane and it's auto but the day I buy a track car it will be a manual unless I win tatslotto and then it will a 2021 Shelby Snake with 10 speed auto and paddle shift. Just tell them to go and get crazy and try some garlic or right out on a limb and try some Indian food.......geez louis
