When talking about depression, thank you so much for saying “I nearly died” rather than “I nearly killed myself” because it really asserts that the depression is the illness that’s hurting you, not that you are doing it to yourself. As someone who also struggles with depression and anxiety, I just love that perspective. Thank you

As someone who's on depression medications (More specifically the SSRI "Sertraline"), I understand how bad it gets before you decide to get serious help, and it's great you phrased it as "I nearly died" rather than "I nearly killed myself" because it's showing that when people die due to depression, it's an illness rather than something silly.

I am on a lot of antidepressants since I was a kid. I have major depressive disorder and a lot of people shamed me for all the pills I take (including bupropion (: but they don’t understand

When you were telling the story of breaking down crying in the hospital all I could think of was Grey's Anatomy when Christina was crying and yelling "SOMEBODY SEDATE ME!!!" On another note tho I'm glad youre feeling better :,)
