@@danharold3087 it’s hideous, mediocre real world range, lacks tons of features standard across the entire automotive industry that Tesla refuses to fit (surround 360° camera system, cross traffic detection, no HUD, no ultrasonic parking sensors, etc.), and its interior is highly compromised due to the steeply sloped rear roofline. Also not at all impressed with the stainless body panels. They’re very hard to keep in good appearance and act like a mirror in direct sunlight. Efficiency of the CT is no better than the rest of the EV trucks on the market but it has the smallest battery by a substantial margin and costs 50-80% MORE than what it was supposed to cost.
@danharold30877 ай бұрын
@@CFG39 Ford's dealership bit Ford in the butt with huge markups and I expect GMC/Chevy dealerships to do the same with this truck. It is a good product. If frequent long range towing is your thing go with the 200 KWh GMC trucks. Yeah the CyberTruck is more than originally priced 4 years ago. Vehicles in general are up 30% over 4 years ago. Tesla is cashing in on the newness and uniqueness of the CT. 3 months in and people are still buying the $20K over list price for the Foundation series. I agree it is a lot of money. Note that they are already making a profit. In time Tesla will be able to price these trucks below the competition because they can make them faster for less money. And the battery is only 123 KWh hour which is enough for most people. Truck tows and hauls more too with the smaller battery.

Instead of big pillars in your peripheral view, you instead get a HUD to help you maintain road visibility. The fact that the backseat can become part of the bed is also super cool. I can't believe that feature hasn't been implemented before, and just the smart way it was engineered to fold in with storage for the window and holes for the seat belt clickers! Well done GM!

@@skellington2000I have an avalanche. Bought it because of the midgate. my family uses the midgate here and there. The AV was designed with a massive steel reinforcing bar, the typical Silverado has a bed detached from the cab, adding zero rigidity to the cab, and the cab is barely more than just stamped sheet metal. The Avalanche is more rigid than normal trucks. I've hauled stuff with the bed and midgate open in light rain, mountainous areas, when it was chilly, just have to crank up the heat as long as it's above freezing... Oh yea, and you can buy the work truck version right now, it doesn't have the midgate, or the fancy tailgate. Other planed trim levels will give you a choice as well. Probably a pricey option

Nobody is forced into buying the Chevy EV. If about 300 mls are enough then buy the alternatives. GM at least provides the option for those that do towing or boondocking in the nowhere and want to replace their ICE with a lower emission alternative. Let the market decide. The range extender option for CT would be interesting if the extension battery could be installed easily and removed if not necessary. As permanent installation reducing the size of the truck bed permanently it not very attractive. We will see if it ever makes it into the Tesla online shop.

Great video! Point of clarification: The maintenance and construction of railway bridges is the responsibility of the company that owns the railway trackage. Design: Railway companies are responsible for designing bridges. Construction: They oversee the construction of these bridges. Maintenance: Regular maintenance ensures the structural integrity of the bridges, which is crucial for the safety of railroad operations, employees, passengers, and the public The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) in the United States plays a significant role in ensuring bridge safety. The FRA conducts audits of rail carriers' bridge management programs, evaluates inspection and maintenance practices, and identifies potential weaknesses. They also respond to public complaints regarding bridge integrity. While the FRA does not maintain an inventory of railroad bridges, it collaborates with rail carriers to establish criteria for maintaining bridge safety.

Fairly sure you can say the same of the other electric trucks in comparison to a powerwall. The gals at transport evolved had significant problem with getting the Ford V2H working reliably. Ford used a 3rd party. I have no ideas about the Rivian. Fairly sure the Tesla is a plug and play if you already have a powerwall. It would be a win if Tesla made the range extender so it could be EASILY hooked directly to the powerwall. Think of it moving under its own power from the box to a rack. Yeah I am dreaming but it is not difficult.

@@danharold3087 For Tesla, capability is there with the Cybertruck. There's just one device that is sold separately to connect to house wiring. It will be interesting to see the CyberTruck price drop over time.

If your Powerwall doesn't provide whole home backup, the Wall Connector is usually located on your essential loads sub panel. This feature works the same for owners with an off-grid Powerwall."
