Miku Kobato is the underestimated True rocker & we Love her. Listen to her come in during the bass/ guitar solos to really drive this song 3:28. Real Masters and Princesses know that without our litte pigeon none of this awesomeness would have been possible. Their main lyricist, couldn't play a note when the band started. Listen to her solo project (Cluppo /Peace and Love) or singing (Sayonakidori" Acoustic Ver) where MISA really shines.

I heard the back story to the Po Boys and why they dress as Butler's, it's because before the band they all did actually work as Butler's in stately homes, but each quit because they refused to be ordered around in that manor 🤪👍🍻🥃

They recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a sold out concert at an empty arena ( They bought all the tickets). It was at the famous Smokabonga Arena . They just came out with a new live video called MATE? (A song about a maid who wouldn't put out) 🤪

Those lyrics! "Ten minutes of limp gymnastics!" Ah ha ha ha! Every guy out there is thinking "C'mon baby! It was just that one time! I had too much to drink! Nothing much to it!" Saiki is _viscious!_ This is great rock and roll! MISA is a legitimate bad ass ... a bad ass bass assassin! Kanami gets onstage and turns into Darth Mincho! Akane holding the tempo, while Miku supplies the beefiness in the background. It's breathtaking!

A couple celebrity stories about them: Jimmy Page once went backstage to request a photo op with drummer Akane, because he said he thought she really reminded him of John Bonham's playing. And when they played Pointfest in St. Louis, the lead singer for Incubus came over and watched their entire set from just offstage. And after Aftershock in 2022, the ladies from the Warning made special arrangements to meet Band-Maid backstage just after Band-Maid finished their set! They were also invited to make a cameo appearance in the Netflix movie "Kate."

Yeah, Japanese maid cafes are a thing. The deal period it's like being involved in a show where you are the master or princess and they are your personal maid. They welcome you home. That come to your table, they talk about the menu. They do a little magical spells and over your food. That makes it taste better supposedly. So yeah, it's a whole culture. It's part of the Kawaii obsession in Japan. Cute to the nth degree.

Oh my gosh, you have opened the floodgates. Why do you love this? Because they may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative band since the Beatles. (Yes, I stand by that statement!) You are going to get a lot of suggestions. First, a little background on the band: Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 Kanami Tono - Lead guitar, Main composer and arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990 Miku was working in a Maid Café after being in an idol group that didn’t break through. She envisoned the idea of a maid-band that plays hard rock and metal. She recruited Kanami, after finding a Kanami guitar cover on line; Kanami then recruited Akane, who recruited MISA. Akane and MISA had been students together at the Tokyo Music Academy. The group decided they needed more vocal “oomph”, and collectively recruited Saiki. Miku didn't know how to play guitar when they started, so Kanami has been teaching her. She's become good so fast that she is really adding to the music mix, and Maidiacs are daring to dream of a dual shred. The band was struggling early on, and in 2014, even as the label was considering dropping them, they posted the music video for “Thrill” which went viral globally. When they realized what was going on, it gave them the momentum to forge ahead, and they have now done multiple tours of Europe and the U.S. and are building a global fanbase who call themselves the Maidiacs. They have released seven full albums, as well as several EPs, singles and music videos. They have put out around 170 songs, covering a wide variety of styles and sounds, without any duds. They combine a punk vibe with instrumental virtuosity (two things that are often seen as being incompatible), and have done some amazing progressive-rock songs with a metal edge to them. They toured the U.S. in 2022 and sold out 14 cities in less than 48 hours. They followed it up with a 2023 tour which had to be expanded from their original plans. Their fan base skews heavily to actual practicing musicians. Some of those followed the band to multiple dates and documented everything on youtube-some of the footage is hilarious. I’ve seen them three times (2019, 2022 and 2023) and their shows are truly life-reaffirming. Band-Maid are that rare band that sound perfect live, even better than in the studio. Okay, names, pronunciation, nicknames, and roles, in order that they joined the band. Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. Poker shark and horse racing fanatic. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Definitely eccentric, possibly insane. Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors. A sweet, motherly woman who turns into a beast when you hand her a guitar. Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Completely unflappable. Frequently snacks between songs. Has been known to sign her banana peels and throw them to the audience. MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls. Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. Regards her band mates, especially Kanami and Miku, with bemused exasperation. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).

This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 28 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. Looking at your channel title - "Breaking Stereotypes" you certainly have found the right band to listen to. Here are a few comments by BAND MAID you may relate to. Interviewer: Maid outfits aren’t exactly rock ‘n’ roll. What is your ultimate heavy metal costume? MIKU “Now Band-Maid’s outfits are part of rock n roll, so we pick these!” Interviewer: Why should people listen to Band-Maid? MIKU - “We’re not a pop idol group! Don’t judge us on how we look. We want to blow you away with our heavy rock sound.” Interviewer: What do you like best about your maid costumes? Kanami: Not all BAND-MAID members wear really frilly maid costumes. We each have our own style, so our maid costumes match each member’s personality. I like how it looks cute and gives a lady-like impression. Misa: I like how the costumes are a contrast - in a good way - from our hard rock, heavy songs and the personality we get to show in our live performances. Interviewer: What would you say to someone who told you girls can’t play metal music? Akane: Crush that prejudice. Just crush it. It’s Not A Gimmick Okay sure, they wear maid outfits but other than that there is nothing ‘fake’ overtly going on. There’s no grandiose backstory, no over-the-top stage show, no higher power who sent these maids to Earth to do his bidding - nothing. They don’t even mention the fact that they’re wearing maid costumes, it’s just taken at face value. Kiss wear make-up, Band-Maid wear maid uniforms - it’s that simple. At one point, a man came onstage to quickly fix guitarist Kanami Tōno’s hair but other than that there are no ‘handlers’ or ‘puppet masters’ that we can see. Saiki, singer wrote the lyrics for this song. The primary lyricist is Miku Kaboto, vocals, guitar, founder, Spokes Pigeon. Saiki hasn't had the best luck with men in Japan. It's the culture. Japan has one the lowest birth rates the World.

You need to check out Aldious Dominator live Radiant A O East. This all Female Metal band formed in 2008. At that time no record companies were interested in Female Rock and Metal bands. So they formed their own label recorded an EP and it sold out overnight. They then became the first female band to get asked to contribute a song to a m9sters of Metal compilation record. They then had a song that got picked up by a TV show for its ending theme. They have since made 9 studio albums all of which made Japanese Billboard top 100 in the year the had come out with their highest was #7, District Zero. They have some 80 songs and they do not have any bad songs. They play in many genres from Hard Rock, pop punk, Thrash, Goth Metal, power metal and speed metal as well as several power ballads, highly recommend checking them out. Their song are noted for high tempo, complex melodies, complex chord progression, catchy hooks, and Melodic harmonized solos. They broke the door open so that bands like Lovebites and Band Maid could go through and get record deals. Most all Female bands today owe a debt to Aldious and many use Aldious as the formula for their own bands.
