Bro you're so different than most of these reaction channels. You say the right words all the time. Like when you explained how it goes from sounding like noise to being obsessed with the intracacies... only someone who truly feels it would even be able to articulate it. Rock fans can talk for an hour about their favorite drums from a band they both love. Most of these dudes can't talk that way bc they aren't true audiophiles. Also, yes, Hendrix and Sabbath are the perfect next ones. But I gotta get Pink Floyd at least up thru the Wall.

I just gloried in the Full Reaction on Patreon, which I joined just to see you lose your mind over this album, lol! Especially "In my time of dying":A freight train of a song, four locomotives strong. Pulls out slowly, inching along, picking up speed, we sense the power. Now we're cruising fast, the chugga-chugga rhythm of JPJ keeping it barreling down the track, with Robert the Air Whistle, or, as they used to say, the Steam Trumpet, wailing in and to the setting sun, and Jimmy the Engineer, mad grin on his face as his magnificent Iron Horse hurtles towards Legend, all the while hauling Bonzo-grade Thunder.

Plant had to have surgery on his vocal chords, it was harder for him to hit the higher notes, but he still always sounded amazing. I believe he had surgery twice, he was by the second time, told he could lose his vocals all together. So glad you are appreciated them so much, because the are the greatest ever. A great live from this album is, In My Time Of Dying on May 25,1975, the best date of that version. Just seeing your reaction to this song, you definitely need to do the live soon, it’s even better.

Good bands will always find ears generations on. It’s beautiful when someone gives the classics a chance. Many say rock is dead and I can see their point in these times in particular. I have been around long enough to see the patterns the industry takes. Great music is everywhere, it’s just waiting to find ears and it always will. Fill your soul with this goodness, it will make you live and love on. Shout out to this channel and your thoughts. Led is amazing, Beatles unreal, Floyd astounding and, as you know, these are just our guides to the sonic multiverse. If you’re looking for some listens, may I recommend Parliament - Osmium, Funkadelic - Maggot Brain, Supertramp - Crime of the Century, Heart - Dreamboat Annie, Kate Bush - The Kick Inside, Elvis Costello - My Aim is True, Stevie Wonder - Music of Mind, and finally The Cars - The Cars. This stuff is painted with the 1970’s paint brush and whatever Bob Ross was smoking (certainly Marley too). Cheers bro, keep up the great work.

Also, "Houses of the Holy" was an expression Robert used for stadiums filled with fans--I THINK, lol. You said they were "the perfect band." I recall seeing Plant say in an interview in the mid-80's describe Zeppelin as "The Ultimate Quartet." Works for me! Also, they were all very proud of "Kashmir." It may have been Robert's favorite Zep tune. And they kept the studio banter in at the end of "In my time of dying" so that ppl would realize it was a one-take, LIVE studio recording. Man, to have been a fly on THAT fucking wall! O my Jesus!

Beatle's Don't Let Me Down video from the rooftop (that's the recording on the album, so you'll hear it, but the video is epic). And I've Got A Feeling (same). Moving to Zep, remember that these double albums boil down to 2 disks/CDs, but there are 4 vinyl album sides. So the bands put thought into the end of Side 1 and the opener for side 2 (of the vinyl), for example, and same for sides 3 and 4. That gets lost a bit on the CD versions which lump sides one and two of the first vinyl record into "Disc 1." That's also when (back in the day) you actually had to turn over the vinyl record from side one to hear side two (hence the "side" terminology. So though went into what the listener was going to hear when they put the needle down on side 2, etc.

I saw the movie during its opening week and the song hadn’t been pulled yet. As far as I know, the original Zep track was never used, just Signifying Rapper by Schoolly D with a session guitar & drums playing the Kashmir riff. Abel Ferrara had never cleared it. pretty sure they were forced to strike a new print without the song almost immediately

In 1973 Robert had vocal cord surgery & back then it was fairly common for singers to smoke. Robert's early screams were a big part of his sound so yes Robert's voice matured then by 1975, -1980 an even further change. It also a well-known fact that he is still singing well into his seventies. There you go, Context. Thanks for the vid!
