It's a norwegian band from northern norway that started in the 1990's, they become very popular and made a lot of good music. They had a comeback in 2018 - 2019 and we hope there will be a continuing.

Sivert Høyem ,lead vocal in Madrugada has done alot of good solo stuff. You should check him out. Seriously, you should. Greetings from Norway.

The band originated from a small town near my home place. In the north of Norway. You could not believe it considered the sound. Sivert Høiem is a fantastic singer. In 1999 they released "industrial silence", which is considered one of the finest rock albums released nationaly. Here i can recommend "Vocal", "Shine", "higher". Majesty was a single from "grit" which isnt considered their best. The band was more or less split up after the guitarist/composer Robert Burås. He had been struggling with depression for many years, and used alcohol too self-medicate. Rumours tell he commit suicide, but i wont speculate. Other songs? "Kids are on high street" and "lift me" are also good. Not too familiar with Siverts solo-material.. Btw... my niece did sleep to Madrugada.

They are from Norway. I think they made a comeback last year, after pretty much stopping after they lost their lead guitarist Robert Burås in 2007. My favorite songs are The Kids are on High Street, and Lift Me (I prefer the version featuring Ane Brun) and Prisoners of the Road with Sivert Høyem (the vocalist, went solo after they lost Burås)

The singer in Madrugada has a duett whit Ane Brun ! Ane Brun is the hero of Aurora, and she used her childhood and earlie years listen to her. I think you should listen to LIFT ME, kind a country-like song out of the stile of both, but SO beautifull !!!

Madrugada in translation means in the wee hours of the morning, or twilight. Interesting name for a band. I loved it that young mans voice was very unique and powerful. Btw you said it right ma dru gada. Omg she is so adorable excellent reactor. This is what i found on Google: Madrugada is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed in the town of Stokmarknes in 1993. The key band members included Sivert Høyem, Robert Burås and Frode Jacobsen. After Burås' death on 12 July 2007, Høyem and Jacobsen decided to finish recording what was to be their final album

Some of the music you are introducing to Charlotte, you are introducing to me at the same time. I see she is picking up on your honesty too. I agreed with both of you on this one.. I liked it, but thought it was maybe a little long. I think I probably have about the same attention span as a 4 year old (based on things I miss in conversations with my wife), so I was impressed that Charlotte hung in so well... I think she did better than me. Funny how this could be dated just by the overlap of a couple lighters in the crowd, and also only a couple cell phones. Few year earlier.. all lighters Few years later... all cellphones.

Maunalee, you're being pummeled with Norwegian artists these days! Angelina Jordan, Aurora, Madrugada (Mah-droo-gah-da). Keep it going, the Swedes have been getting far too much attention as it is. ;-) The New Tork Times labelled the vocals of Madrugada's Sivert Høyem as a "velvety, chocolate barytone" back in the day, and they were conquering both the UK and the American markets. Then they had a decade long hiatus following the death of the red head guitarist you seemed to like, Maunalee, before finally getting the band back together a couple of years ago. We remain hopeful!
@OriginalPuro4 жыл бұрын
As a Norwegian I've never heard of "Angelina Jordan". There are so many "artists" today that have zero ounce of musical talent, but thanks to mediocrity in the music scene(autotune specifically) even bad songs and artists get praised. Staysmann, kjent for å være feit, blir hyllet som "en flott artist" når alt han har laget er direkte ræv.
@vikingballetnista74914 жыл бұрын
@@OriginalPuro , jeg nekter å lytte til noen av disse partylåt/russelåt-skriverne. Rent søppel, alt sammen. Staysman, Villa, røkla. However, Angelina has been around for years already, and has a much bigger following overseas than at home. Although most Norwegians are aware of her after she won some televised competition a while ago. No autotune + loadsa videos of her singing live with jazz bands, military bands etc. Have a go and listen for yourself!

Madrugada (Mah-Drew-Gah-Dah) which is Spanish for Dawn. I very much enjoy this style of music, though there were some issues with pronunciation at times. But the tone of the singer's voice is very soothing, not necessarily unique, but certainly not common. Think Jason Krajcek from the US who has a very similar tone, and has some really good original songs. Very good, will give the band more attention.

A very different song by this band is "norwegian hammerworks corp" from their debut album. In that band's catalogue, that song is just about a one-off in style and execution as far as I know. Which may or may not make it interesting.

Music With Maunalee another possibility for Charlotte sprang to mind, Maunalee: I thought of Karen Carpenter and I wondered, “what is the best song to introduce Charlotte to this great singer?“ A lot of their songs, as you know are kind of melancholic, but this one is upbeat and has a bit of country flair, “Top of the World” m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHWzfqCXfbydZ6s

Strange to how things change. In Norway it is a HUGE no no to have kids on a social platform in as now. 2024. There is nothing wrong as it was 4 years ago.. but I guess people use kids to get ratings more now. But it is also how it is done. This is about a child liking music..And I will go to my grave unable to hear what this girl can hear at her age. As as of the age of 13 or close you loose the ability to hear some higher notes.. So we can never know as "older" what she listens to.
