I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. Some of the things in this MV has references to their past MVs (Nostalgic Night and Howling). Some examples is the car Hanse's in (Hanse is the main rapper), that car appeared in Nostalgic Night and when Seungwoo fell, it's actually what happened in Howling's last scene, he fell backwards, those are just examples.

"This song is going to be stuck in my head..." It's my current earwig, on ridiculous repeat. I feel the choreography permits the focus to be on the music and, even if it's not super intense or super complicated, it perfectly enhances the mood of the lyrics and track. Bigger is not always better and I feel this is seriously one of Victon's best tracks to date (and I am a huge supporter!)

Their previous album is actually called Continuous and they mentioned that their music is connected... continuous. If you have watched their previous MVs there are references like the car, telephone booth and tvs and the theories about the timeline of the story revolves around love (longing, obssessive, lost love, etc.). The choreography also has references with Nostalgic Night! And the Howling choreo ending is the start of the Mayday choreo! VICTON is not the underrated anymore but they definitely deserve so much more!!!

thank you for reacting to victon! i've stanned many groups in the past two years as a kpop stan and i think they are one of the, if not the most painfully underrated group in terms of they have the full package but so little fans:( they have all the talent and everything but i think what makes them stand out the most is their discography, which is on the mellow edm side but has its own distinct sound and they dont have a bad song.. i hope you would check out more of them in the future!

Did you know? The producer of Victon's Mayday is the same who did NCT 127's Kick it. You might have heard vibes that are a bit like NCT's style And I don't know for you, but this roung building in Victon's Mayday MV reminds me of Stray Kids' Hellevator MV I am not a fan of horror (neither I am with cute ones), but I like scary concepts like Victon's. Plus, so far this my fav Victon song. I can play it countless times in one day 😂

I appreciate your insight as a performer and analysis of moves/intensity/emotion in Victon's performances! The first MCountdown they did with the flashlight scene added is I think their best performance of Mayday; Hanse's solo parts on stage is MUCH stronger than at a practice. It's funny you say that this isn't their hardest choreography though, because Chan and Seungwoo have both said their bodies were so sore from this one. Chan also said that the previous comeback's choreography in comparison (Howling) was that he couldn't catch his breath. But yeah, he definitely goes harder than the others on most of their dances.

If you watch their early MVs, they have different kind of style for a song including for their b-side too . They like to 'experiment' with new genre everytime . The guy in all black is Heo Chan, the main dancer. He's been dancing for pretty much his whole life, I think, and before he became a trainee, he was a backup dancer for a lot of idols! His older brother is an idol too!

this is one of the first times i used my brain, i remember watching howling and one member fell backwards and then it continued in this mv. i freaking love victon now. it looks the dancer you said hit movements harder than the rest is the main dancer, from my research. also victon in general just gives a mysterious vibe from the songs i've heard so far.

The one in the black (Chan) is the main dancer and he actually trained the longest so I think it's understandable that his moves are sharper than the others. Also maybe, you can check their comeback before this, which is Howling. I feel like it has....harder? more complicated? choreography than Mayday edit : forgot to mention that the one harmonizing with Seungwoo at the end is the first one to sing and his name is Seungsik! you can hear the fullest of their harmonization in their bside track called Your Smile and You😊

The one with the blonde stripe in his hair and the one that gets the second rap is Hanse. Seungwoo turns into Seungsik at the beginning and Seungsik is the one holding the high note at the end. Subin is the blonde that centers at the beginning of every chorus. He also ends the song. Chan or Heochan is the one in all black in the dp that you pointed out for hitting the moves harder. You also called him cute in the MV. The guy with the short black hair is Sejun. He had the weird pants and gray blazer in the dp. Also they look tall in the dp because they are. Byungchan is 6’1” and he’s the tallest. Sejun and Seungwoo are 6’0” I think. And the rest of them are all taller than or are 5’9”

I feel the need to recommend ‘Time Of Sorrow’ for Jeff to watch. I first heard it and saw it when they were doing their promotional comeback stages back in May of 2018 and I was hooked!
