I think one of the main reasons why Super Junior reached 15 years is the fact that they're INNOVATIVE. Super Junior is never afraid of trying new concepts. Being a long term ELF, I can confidently say that there was no album within Suju's career with the same concept. They're aren't called Hallyu Kings for nothing.

Since SM gave Super Junior their own label, they started to take care of the production themselves. The ones who usually think of the concepts and ideas are Shindong and Eunhyuk, who previously direct almost all of their solo concerts and made some choreography for some of their songs, obviously with some inputs from the other members and the staffs. PS: Shindong is also the director of all SM The Stage Performances

Props to Super Junior for going for this kind of choreography. They’re all in their 30s now and have sorta “graduated” from intense choreographies (especially with Heechul and his busted leg) so I’m loving the ingenuity of this. I have a gut feeling that Shindong and Eunhyuk played a big part in putting this choreography to life. They have been dabbling in stage directing for years, both of them overseeing their concerts for the past few tours, and Shindong even directing some of EXO and NCT’s comeback stages.

Adding ur comment Eunhyuk even direct TFBoys concert (they're really BIG in China). NCT's concert tour for this year also supposedly directed by eunhyuk too, sadly must be canceled bcs covid. But shindong take over NCT Beyond Live concert. For shindong, all The Stage are directed by him. Start from exo - obsession and lasty aespa - black mamba.

"It's an easier choreo... but it works." I think this is the best way to describe SuJu choreographies. They are not here to impress with their dances. THEY ARE HERE TO DANCE! Not to do overly complicated ones (but their old songs have complicated dance moves tbh hehe). They're here to perform and satisfy the eyes of the audience... to hook and not to overwhelm the viewers.

Yes! Other people might be "hehe cover their song and it's so much sharper" but suju choreos done by suju are truly to show off everyone's personal charm. Im also grateful that the choreos not being super hard/dramatic means that ELFs can learn the dances easier, they're taking heechul's leg into account, and that they aren't out to wreck to joints of suju who have been dancing and performing for 15 years now

They can do hard choreo and as an ELF since 2009, i’ve seen it but because they’re now mid to late 30s they prefer not to because it takes a lot of energy. @@rei_smasher I agree. Been an ELF sicne '08 and their songs back then were really hard. Esp dance breaks! They also inherited the old style of kpop dances with a lot of jumps and twists that are seriously draining energy out of them. Not to mention their formations that are also complicated due to their big number and the line-up changes.

True legends, indeed. One of sj's talented dancer and member, Shindong is also one of SM's stage director now. I believe he took part on the production of Burn The Floor.

fun fact: a few members are actually musical actors as well. they’ve participated in multiple musical plays over the years. and some of the members trained only for a short period of time but they already made it to the debut roster. (kyuhyun and ryeowook both trained less than a year. from what i remember, rw trained only for 3 months. he’s a musical prodigy and has a perfect pitch. kyuhyun is considered to be the best vocal among kpop idols. experts says he has the best techniques while heechul passed sm’s hardest audition tryouts.) almost all of them have written and composed songs for their albums. shindong and eunhyuk later become their very own concert/mv directors and choreographers. shindong has directed many live performances and music videos of other kpop groups. i want to say experience played a very big part to the caliber of their performances throughout the years, (i’m sure it definitely did) but super junior has yet to release a bad song (especially ballads). sure, subjectively speaking i prefer certain songs over the other but looking at it objectively, super junior has always outdid themselves. each come back is different and they always manage to pull it off. and ever since they had their own label, their releases improved even better. super junior was originally planned to be a project group that will promote for only a few months and would later disband to give way for the future sm trainees but after they witnessed their success a year after they debuted, sm decided to re-debut them as a permanent group. (they were called super junior 05 but they ditched the 05 after becoming a permanent group.) fifteen years later they’re still active in the industry and is still getting recognition despite how competitive and vicious the kpop industry is. they are undeniably one of the best kpop groups to ever debuted and they paved the way for the groups of today. (younger kpop groups really look up to them and they consider them a really reliable senior!) i’m so happy to see you react to them! you’re one of my favorite reactor. 🥰 i’ve been a fan of suju for ten years, so to see you react them makes be very happy. if you’re looking for a good group to react or decipher, i HIGHLY recommend them! they’re a very well-rounded group. each and every one of them has a few special talents of their own that certainly contributed to their ongoing success. if you plan to react to them more in the future, i highly recommend these live performances: 1. One of the producers of this song did a reaction video and he explained that the original concept for the song centered around the waltz, and that tango elements were added in! It's such a unique concept for Kpop and it really is executed so beautifully, and it's so good to see Heechul back and performing again!

I think what i like about super junior's choreographies is that they don't make complex ones, but they make effective ones. They always have a key point that everyone will envision everytime they hear the song. This males the song easier to remember as there is a step that everyone can associate it with everytime it is played. Examples are sorry sorry, bonamana, mr simple, mamacita, black suit, lo siento, and super clap.

the one who starts the song is Kyuhyun, the maknae of the group. He's one of the main vocal and if you want to know about him, you can watch him on variety show 'New Journey To The West' (its really a great show) then after that is Donghae, he's not active in variety show but he compose some of super junior's song. People also said that he and NCT Jeno are brothers because they look alike each other. I think they also close and sometime Jeno will visit his house to hang out. the tallest one is Siwon. He's active in acting. One of his popular kdrama is 'She Was Pretty'. the one that you said looks like anime is Yesung, the main vocal. then, the one who lead the dance break with Donghae is Eunhyuk, the main dancer of super junior. you can watch him on weekly idol as a mc of the show. the one with high note and always the one who harmonize is Ryeowook, i really love his voice. and another one is Leeteuk, the leader and the one who always on tv because he's a very talented mc. he mc almost all the awards show. and lastly another two members that you recognized are Heechul and Shindong. you can see them on knowing bros.

Yes Heechul (who can't perform a lot because of a car accident) is in the cast of Knowing Brothers as well as in a lot of other shows, Shindong also comes by a lot as 'Senior Dong'. Eunhyuk currently presents Weekly Idol and a show with Monsta X Minhyuk, Leeteuk is the MC for like literally anything and everything. They all are a lot on tv, host(ed) radio shows, act, and are seen as sweet seniors & polite to all their juniors. Literally any variety show you watch I feel like one of the members if there, and it looks like they always make all the other idols feel comfortable

Fun fact: The lights you see SuJu using in their "Burn the Floor" performance are the same type of lights Ten from NCT/WayV used in his "New Heroes" MV. LOL of course, the vocals are insane, Super Junior is an OG group from SM, so you shouldn't expect any less. Plus, Super Junior has the 3 best vocalists -- Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung -- who make up the sub-unit Super Junior-K.R.Y. Super Junior-K.R.Y. is the industry's very first sub-unit and they are a ballad unit who have an unbelievable vocal range. Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung are the vocal standard in the industry, who set the bar that all other vocalists are measured against. But as an SM group, all the members of Super Junior are amazing singers -- even their rappers have been known to fill in as a main vocalist on occasion. Super Junior knows exactly what they are doing. They haven't been in the industry for this long without being experts at reinventing themselves and coming up with something new and innovative with every comeback. After more than 15 years, Super Junior has done pretty much every genre of music. SuJu are never afraid to experiment with their sound or style and they are known for coming up with original concepts and setting trends. SM is a Vocal Power House. Super Junior's harmonies is chef's kiss... Super Junior have the best Vocals in Kpop in 2nd Gen for me. Kyuhyun one of their main vocalist won King of mask singer for how many episodes. All members can sing. even the rappers. Well they're from SM after all. Heechul, one of the cast from Knowing Bros don't dance with them due to previous injuries. Please react to more Super Junior. They're really on a different league now. As a Cassie, in terms of experiences I think I would put suju and tvxq at least on par to each other. And they've probably gain a bit more or at least as much of experiences and exposures in their 15 years career on top of TVXQ's 16. eunhyuk and shindong both already directed super junior concerts in addition to EXO and NCT's concerts and performances. Plus their unit activities also means that super junior carry other genres on top of what they presented as a full group. which is an advantage well taken on their side while we've got only 2 members. And having their own record label in Label SJ also does help them in branching their experiences and ideas into management. As a matter of fact in few years Suju will be producing a boy group as label SJ from the rumors I've heard. So I would say super junior and tvxq they both got pretty much the same level of the experiences. They're both close anyway friendship wise, so it doesn't matter.

I wonder if watching them, he can like say/think “woah that’s really a seasoned artist right there” and then maybe see what defines each artist according to their level of seniority. Super Junior is the original King Of Kpop and now a legend! Alot of idols really looking up to SJ. The Vocals are strong since they are from SM. SM never play around with vocals, especially the KRY! They are senior to EXO, NCT, Red Velvet etc btw!

Super Junior are literal Renaissance men. Every single one of them is involved in some or other part in the industry besides being a K-pop idol. They are MCs, variety stars, actors, directors, etc. and since they got their own label, they've been more in control of what they release (and how much they release them). I think one thing that makes Super Junior so legendary and still surviving in this fast moving industry is their ability to adapt and incorporate the "modern" kpop style in to their stuff. They don't always stick to what they usually do but look at what people like nowadays and work it in somehow. And they've not only managed to maintain their quality of singing and performing but improve over time. Plus despite being an "older" group, they started out during a time where dance wasn't as complex as now, yet they still manage to keep up with today's generations danceability. Also, just a fun fact: Their first few albums were available in Cassette Tape form.

SuJu's harmonization even on live perfs are always perfect. They are more of a vocal group thus their vocals and harmony are always the highlight of their songs. Their main vocals (SJ-K.R.Y) is like the standard for SM male vocals or even the whole of kpop.

so I'm not a suju "Stan" but my mom is so I've gotten a bit familiar with them. if you are curious to see a more dance-centric side to suju, I'd recommend watching something by the super junior-d&e subunit or just watching eunhyuk/hyukjae solo stage. even though eunhyuk is like 35 he is still an excellent dancer and could definitely hold his own against a lot of younger idols, it's a shame he doesn't have more opportunities to show off just how good of a dancer he is.
