Its okey that you don’t like it, but you can’t deny that the production/mix of this song is unbelievable good. I really don’t know if they are going to make more rock songs to be honest, but they surely know how to make a pop song

100% the mix is fabulous. I will have to listen to Everyday Life for sure, I explained in another comment why I missed it. I'm surprised though still, that they would return to this poppy sound. Would love to hear something off the wall from them.

Did you Listen to any of their Everyday Life album? The one released in November 2019. It was nominated for a grammy and had some very different songs on it... especially Trouble In Town (my personal fav) which is alternative rock. I recommend you give it a listen if their poppy, radio stuff isn't for you :)

HEY! SO... when I was editing this video, I browsed by their Wiki and noticed this album. I did NOT listen to it. BUT, I have a very, very, VERY good reason, to which I will explain, right now. That album was not only released on my month long trip in Australia/Asia to see U2, that album was in fact dropped on the same day Bono invited me on stage in Sydney. One of the biggest moments of my life. I was gone for a whole month (Nov 2 - Dec. 4), and was exhausted as you could imagine. I went back to Canada straight into a busy Christmas season. Then the pandemic happened and now here we are today. So I was simply not plugged in to ANY new music at that time. But I will give it a listen!!!

Damn the dislikes says it all haha. If a song is pop doesn't mean its bad. Why do pop songs get so hate? A song is made to express emotion or spread a message about something. Hating on them might seem cool, but just if you know you like rock and aren't into pop songs then why the hell did you react? Just to hate on them or what? Coldplay is such a talented band. In this pop era music not everyone is as successful as Coldplay is. THEIR POP SONGS ARE GOLD

I like music from all genres. It doesn't mean I like ALL music, or ALL Pop songs, or ALL rock songs. I like some Pop songs, but, I also dislike Pop songs. The only way to know if I like it dislike a song, is... I have to LISTEN to the song to see if I like it. Hence... these first reactions. I'm not hating. I listened to the song. And I don't like it LOL. Can't get any more straightforward than that.

For me the issue is the chorus... but there's no denying the production values are all there.... its just not the huge Coldplay hit we're used to hearing...

I respect that you didn't like it, but man why didn't you finish it? The best part i think was on the Outro of this song which for me was Incredible!🎶 💙💜

As I said elsewhere, I later watched the boat performance. I didn't notice anything else that made me perk up. In my reaction video I said the song was way over produced, way too radio friendly, way too squeaky clean, way too poppy--I'm sure you understand what I mean by that. I found the second half to be the same. To be very honest, I was being extremely nice in the video. The song is awful, flat out, awful. That first half was awful. And the second half, though not caught on camera, is the exact same. It's awful. I think the fandom should at least recognize that, that, if you enjoy the song cool. But if someone else totally trashes it, I imagine you would understand. BECAUSE of the fact it's extremely so over the top poppy. It's like the worst kind of Maroon 5 song. It really is just awful. I took a guess that I wouldn't like the second half, and yes we can't prove it because it's not on camera, but dude, one more time? I guessed correctly. It's awful.

I tell you honestly that when i heard this for the first time I got a little feeling that i don't like the Chorus that you also said that you don't like too, but when I play it again with some music videos on KZbin I kinda like it so much, every sound of the Bass Guitar, electric guitar, the synth, Bass of the Drum and the voice of Chris, makes you uplift and on the mood! But man every person has it's own taste of Music so yeah it definitely ups to you Mate! But I really loves this Song!😻💙💜🎶

I’m not that kind of guy that hates the songs that goes well on radio for no reason 🤷🏻‍♂️, the thing is you like the song or not, is not about its genre or if it’s radio friendly, I never will understand that kind of person that judge a song because their radio friendliness
