👉 This is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears. (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight. In 2017 Dimash received a wild-card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first... and after this song Dimash captured the hearts of millions of viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood at his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to KZbin... and so, we became Dimash’s Dears. The Chinese organizers planned that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition and go home again. They didn't really believe in him. SOS is French song and one of 5 hardest songs for any singer to do; Dimash killed it. He gets better with each song and there are many to listen to. If you follow Dimash you will get addicted, but is wonderful feeling you can experience perfection yourself with each song, and you will see just how talented he is. Personally, I think that Dimash is a musical virtuoso of our time. He is originally from Kazakhstan, and he will be 27 years old (in May 2021). Dimash has been officially training and performing for more than 21 years. At the age of 5, he was found to have perfect hearing. Dimash is often called the best male singer in the world. Dimash is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range (from bass to soprano to whistling register). It is recorded that he has a range above six (6) octaves and continues to improve his ranges and techniques. Dimash is a phenomenal Vocal Storyteller. Dimash calls his style " Innovation "[neoclassicism] in the genre of classic crossover. There is much debate about whether Dimash is a tenor or a baritone. You just listened to THE greatest vocalist of ALL time! This was four years ago, you should hear Dimash now, he’s 26 today. SOS (a French song from the 70’s) is a sad song about someone who is questioning life (suicidal), he feels like he doesn’t fit in this world and that life dealt him a bad hand. He is considered the best in the world. There are other versions with sub titles. He is amazing . His time on the show shot him to stardom, mainly through KZbin. He sings 12 languages and can play several instruments. He’s kind and humble. Though they never allowed a non Chinese singer into the competition, he was a dark horse. ARTIST FACTS: DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, & multi-instrumentalist. Born in Aktobe Kazakhstan, Central Asia: May 24, 1994. He was trained in classical & contemporary music, and is well known for his exceptional widest vocal range. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living out our day to day life. His hard work for years is indeed bearing good fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a public listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the good content and message of its music. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Death is unknown to all of us, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times. Great reaction! It is always nice to see someone else discover Dimash. Over the last year, he has quickly become one of my all-time favorite performers. As someone else mentioned, if you want subtitles, you have to actually search for a particular song and include the words "English subs" or "English subtitles" (don't include the quotes). It is up to the person posting/uploading to enable automatic translation or actually include created subtitles. Some people don't turn it on for the videos they post and you won't be able to select them then. Subtitles can be tricky for songs - sometimes, if they are auto-translations, you will get almost nothing other than [singing] or somesuch. If the translation does show, but in another language, go under the gear icon and select where it shows the language-you can the select English from the list of available languages. If you want a song by Dimash in English, I would recommend giving the original video for his song "Screaming" a try. It is in English and also has English subtitles right on the video. You can find it on Dimash's official channel. Most of what he posts has English subtitles available to select.

I loved watching your reactions too. This is exactly what Dimash is all about. His voice is ethereal. He's singing here in this video at age 22. Dimash was born on May 24, 1994 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. Now at age 26, listen to where his journey with SOS has brought him. He sang SOS on Ignauguration Day, congratulating the newly elected President Biden and Vice President Harris. Trust me, continue with Dimash on a regular basis and your subs count will grow by leaps and bounds. Combining that with PTX is a great way to grow. Dimash is, by far, the best singer in the world. He sings in 12 languages and now speaks in 3 and is learning Mandarin. Stay with these early performances and you'll be blown away and then also be able to follow his growth and appreciate him fully. One slight exception I recommend is to listten to his guest appearance song on The Singer 2018, where his version (in English) of Hello is just phenomenal. Adagio from The Singer 2017 is also in English, as is The Show Must Go On. But the ones not in English are also phenomenal. Many have subtitles in English, but the ones that don't are still fantastic. He also sings in many different genres. He even raps in one of his songs and has a great duet with another rapper as well. Mostly, he has his own style, no matter what the genre. Welcome to the world of Dimash and we fans, who are known as "dears".

If it matters to you to see the lyrics in English, add "Eng sub" to the search box with his name and the song title. There's usually a video that has that. He does occasionally sing in English. Dee-MOSH. The Singer always gives the lyrics in Mandarin and in the language it's being sung in, so "The Show Must Go On" is in English.

Dimash is seen as THE best singer in the world by millions of his fans called "dears".
