Thanks for the reaction, guys! Appreciate you giving them a shot! They are a third generation group. 5 members debuted in 2014, but were rebranded as Dreamcatcher in 2017 with 2 new members. Youngest is 25 years old. Oldest is 30. The fandom name is "InSomnia". There will be some folks here with the lore dump. Thanks again!

The girl with the purple hair is Siyeon, their main vocalist. She's a stage presence and vocal beast. She used to be a front woman for her rock band in high school. The group is a vocal powerhouse. Since Siyeon is on a hiatus during the post release promotions Handong and Sua (both officially sub vocalists but should be considered leads by now) have been covering for her high notes in Justice with the other girls taking her high notes in 2 rings. One of their songs that is my favorite right now is Stomp. It doesn't have an official video yet but it's a new release. And propose which has a live showcase version and once again shows off their vocals.

They debuted the 13th of January in 2017, so they are 3rd gen. Fandom name is InSomnia. The girl with purple hair is our main vocalist Siyeon. I would recommend Vision or Bonvoyage

Since it has a story like a K-drama, it will be fun to watch the MV while guessing the story. Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently. Just like ymenehcra for OOTD, an account named 9mynameis1 has been posting messages before the comeback. She posted that her seven friends became obsessed with the crown and have not been responding anymore, which corresponds with the secret diary Siyeon (our powerhouse main vocal, also known as Wolfie) is reading. The text there reads "How are you? I'm worried because you aren't replying." So what we are seeing here is the seven friends (Dreamcatcher) getting rid of their obsession with the crown (materialism, narcicism) by literally destroying it, which makes their friend rejoin them (there is an eighth person joining them near the end). There is also a lot of imagery about death and legendary figures like Valkyries or greek goddesses and legends. Reddit user PaintMeYaBasic has managed to identify these paintings in the MV: Hero by Edward Burne-Jones (from the tale of Hero and Leander), Valkyrie and a Dying Hero by Hans Makart, Hero and Leander by Salvator Rosa and finally "Justice" by Kenyon Cox in the center back. In the tale of Hero and Leander from Greek mythology, Hero is actually a priestess of Aphrodite (Venus in the Roman myths), so that is not the same as the hero who is taken from the battlefield by a Valkyrie in the other painting. But OOTD has the line "I'm Venus, Nephthys, call me a Goddess". It is likely there is a connection. While OOTD was about falling for the temptations of modern life and a satire on narcicism (especially influencers and fast fashion), I believe Justice is telling us to fight those temptations for a better world. It is a call to become a warrior for good in the world and fight the materialism that seems to be the most important thing for many people in the developed countries. You can see JiU break the bonds that hold her down, and we should do the same. Please note that this is just my interpretation. Art can be interpreted in different ways, and other opinions are just as valid as mine. There are also many references to their older MVs in this. The paintings also have a deeper meaning in Chase me, there is a sword in Deja Vu and Scream, the bite into the apple is a callback to BEcause and the tree to the Dystopia trilogy - and so on. There are many more. The 8th figure in the end could also be JiU from Deja Vu, finally breaking the cycle of violence and leading to justice. Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). It has the right amount of heaviness for me, and it is an anthem and a call to action. I also love that they shortened the pre-chorus by two bars in the second half, throwing us into the chorus early. Justice is a brilliant, epic release, showing everyone that a group can still produce fantastic music and MVs after seven and a half years. I can't help it, I deeply respect these ladies and their whole team.

"They got Vocals" oh gentleman,u have no clue lol -Fandom name = *InSomnia* -I believe they are 3rd Gen,debut on January 2017 Dreamcatcher isn't exactly on the same lane with other Kpop Groups,hence why they don't get too much attention from GP(especially in SK),since they have Rock/Metal flavor in their musics with Dark concepts,it's like the exact opposite of mainstream Kpop music and concept in general especially in Girl Group lol,but please give them your time and chance,u won't regret it(pinky promise)

Short Guide to Investigate Dreamcatcher Dreamcatcher genre - Boca. It's their biggest MV on KZbin for a reason. VOCALS - Live vocal, live band Jazz Bar kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXrMf5l5rM9kj6ssi=dR8AtbJrC2sQeYX- Dreamcatcher genre fuses rock or metal sounds with any other genre they feel like for that song, with top shelf vocals alternating power and softness to convey the feeling of their message. The other half of their 7-year discography are mid-tempo vibe songs in any genre you can think of and soft ballads that make people tear up before they even know the lyrics. And There Was No One Left is one of my personal favorite vibe songs. Ballads don't get as many reactable special clips but there are plenty out there from Firefly on the same album as Justice to Dear written by the group leader JiU (tied with ropes). One mini-album, Summer Holiday, has all of this. BEcause is the creepy Dreamcatcher genre title track, Airplane the upbeat summer vibe song, Alldaylong the softer vibe song written by JiU, Heart of Sunflower a real waterworks of a ballad.

I highly recommend review on the whole album Virtuous. It's Dreamcatcher's magnum opus. Also I recommend DanceEAR performance video of Justice. Pure raw vocals and whole other surprises. Dreamcatcher is unique as they are unconventional, unpredictable and total misfits of Kpop. Another group I recommend is Rolling Quartz.
