Great reaction! She was first known for posting weird and disturbing youtube videos, and started making pop music. Her lyrics have always been dark even if the sound was lighter. Than started making this pop mixed with metal. Her last album is mainly metal and it's great! I suggest you "Scary Mask" or "Concrete" (which is even crazier than this one in my opinion ;)

I love how this track starts out playing with opposites and as it goes along those elements get confused, mixing things visually and musically. Poppy (the young lady in the video,) is a kind of mixed media artist, her visuals-videos, fashion, etc.-are an important companion to the music, though the music can also stand alone. Because of that visual element, I also recommend watching a few of her short videos, (most are under a minute,) on her channel: “Comfort,” “A Plant,” “The Game Is Over,” “The Man,” “How To Load A Gun,” “The Game,” “Can You Believe That,” “Celebrities Are Important,” “Should I Get Engaged?,” & “They Say Mean Things.” Poppy, is fantastic. People are definitely going to suggest you check out “Scary Mask,” “Concrete,” “I Disagree,” and probably “Fill The Crown,” next. I like to direct people away from these popular singles and toward earlier songs from her ouvre, like “Lowlife” (has a video,) Bleach Blonde Baby” (has a video,) Interweb” (has a video,) and then from the same album as “X,” “Iconic,” “Time Is Up” (has a video,) & “Am I A Girl?”. I've been listening to her since the bubblebath days (her pop era) and I love all the albums and eps she released so far (I disagree, Am I a girl, poppy.computer, Choke, and bubblebath) and how well she transitioned from pop to this. My favorite track from her I disagree album is bite your teeth but I love all her other songs too.

I'd love to see you react to more Poppy! We her fans can't get enough Poppy and reactions to Poppy tbh. If you decide to do more it would be really great to do it chronologically. I recommend you go back a bit and check out her cover of My Kind of Woman, Lowlife from her EP Bubblebath, Computer Boy and Interweb from her LP poppy.computer, and Time Is Up and Hard Feelings from the Am I a Girl LP. Then her turn into experimental metal and genre mixing starts making a lot of sense as she "breaks free" from that existence and ventures bravely onto a new journey. Next look at Voicemail, Choke and Scary Mask from the Choke EP. And finally, a reaction to her entire album, I Disagree. Since her music and she are not boring this will be hreat series for you. Any of the tracks off her new album "I disagree" show off her maturing in pursuing this type of sound and fusion of disparate elements. My favorite is "Concrete" but "I Disagree" probably has the better music video

"It's new". Well... it's a western adaption of early Babymetal, or of Kwaii Metal in general. Witch does make it new, I guess. But just so you know, there are a lot of Japanese bands doing similar things.
