@@Dabridge4009 You’re welcome, I have a lot of old memories and as they come to my mind I’ll pass them on. There are a lot of old clips on KZbin, If I’m not mistaken They were on the Mike Douglas show and did a song called Poinciana and if you like a little jazz then check out a guy named Amad Jamal he plays a live instrumental version that was a hit with the black community back in the day. Smokey also has another old standard called Speak low and you may still be able to find them on Apple Music, I know it’s a lot just take your time and savor it all. Keep it up lil brother 👍🏽

Smooth voices, in my opinion: Lenny Welch - Since I Fell for You; Tommy Edwards- All in the Game; Jesse Belvin - Goodnight My Love and pretty much anything by Jerry Butler. Then there is the obvious choice of Johnny Mathis.

This, along with "Baby, I'm For Real" by the Originals, and "Stay in MY Corner" by the Dells, were the the most popular slow dance songs at my high school. Smokey's pretty smooth. Luther may be smoother. But, Smokey is a hell of a songwriter!
