Jakarta Watching, they are Muslims, born in very remote villages, raised in traditional Islamic school and culture, self-taught music, big fan of RATM, Metalica, Slipknot and other legendary metal bands. Voice of Baceprot... pronounced Bah Che Praht Baceprot means " Noisy" in Sundanese. The word was chosen to explain the type of music they play. They sing in Sundanese and English. This is a song they wrote but they have done covers of Rage Against the Machine, System of the Down, Metallica, Dream Theatre, Slipknot, Beastie Boys to name a few. These girls don't have time to screw around they play Pop Rock, Heavy Metal, Rock, Ragee, Thrash, Funk, Hip Hop and even rap metal to name a few genres. When Tom Morello got to talk to them in an interview, he could not praise them enough and he is one of their biggest fans. They consider their music Hip Metal Funky. The bassist has the skill level of Flea and they play as though they been doing over 20 years. I won't write a book explaining all about them at the moment but you should check out their first song ever wrote named School Revolution when they were still in school. They were about 16 then and were playing YEARS beyond their talent then. Some can"t believe how talented they are but when they were invited to the biggest music festival in the world Wakken they were loved by all. They are in their 20's and have ben playing about 9 years or so. I can give a list of a list of over 30 original and covers song. wish could have seen them when they toured America...someday I will get to.🙂

Good constructive critique, not just of the song but also its production. If you want to review them again / some more start with School Revolution, they were 17/18 years old, I think, when they recorded that. My understanding is there are two schools of thought in Islam: one is unless the Quran says you can do something then that thing is Haram (forbidden), i.e. the conservative view of the Quran; the other is that if the Quran does not forbid a thing then you are free to do it, i.e. the liberal view of the Quran. Which is right is a matter of opinion. I have not read the Quran but people say that the Quran doesn't say anything about music, therefore you have the different schools of thought saying different things about whether music is OK or not. What is clear, though, is that there is no general agreement in Islam that music is forbidden or sinful.
