If a cylinder was cutting out, its very noticeable! Cam chain tensioner and valve lash should definitely be checked before riding it further. But man, super impressed and happy to see another Gixxer revived!🤙🏻

It likely isnt taking in enough air JB. Being a naturally aspirated motor, taking in too much air wont be an issue . The mass airflow sensor may need to be cleaned or replaced . It sounds like its bogging down which means not enough air. Hopefully if all cylinders are firing, it's not a compression issue . Then your shit out of luck.

sounds like the same type of sounds and behaviour that i had on my 2004 gixer. I had to replace the fuel injectors and fuel pompe, the fuel pompe absorbed a lot of rust through the years, tanks were not made from aluminium. Check on those 2 first. and check if all cylinders are firing up.

Make sure injectors are clean i had a gsxr 750 and injecotrs were really dirty. Best way to know is to take out the screens on the injectors and put them in and see if it runs better.

hey max - nice to see 002 on the street, some fine tuning needed, which can be done, just a suggestion for the tank, take to body shop needs a pro to sand, red putty to get rid of all scratches n edges from tape, and prime, you then put on new finish coats - cant cost much for a shop to get ready & up to prime, my opinion tank was to bad shape for you to get ready under your work conditions - 002 will be a good one - stay safe man

Sounds like a air leak probably around the intake exhaust or where u valves are but check ur radiator overflow cap. It sounds good but once the whole is fount you will hear and feel the diffence... hope that help shoutout from pa

You were using the c-clip pliers wrong i think. Its suppose to pull apart when you squeeze together, theres a couple dowel locations on the tool. One that pulls apart, one that pulls together. Its hard to tell if you had it on wrong so if you were doing it right, carry on. If you were doing it wrong, now you know!

You might wanna check for manual chain tensioner , common problem on old gsxr people tightening them too tight stretch chain screws up timing and valves .

Float needle in the carburetor could be stuck see if there's fuel in the bowl of the carburetor. If you have fuel in the bowl of the carburetor then gravity feed the carburetor with fuel and see if it starts. If it starts then you have a fuel pump problem.

The injectors NEED to be snyced if they havent been. Vacuum lines on the TB? Also air intake will be different due to the headlight fairing not being on and having the stock air ducts. Just my guess, but if you havent synced the injectors thats it.

Saw that You ordered Motul Dot 5.1. Don't suggest to use it, had an issue on motorcycle. After some time brake hoses (from reservoirs) were wet, after wiping, next day, wet again! But,of course ,You can try... Have no idea why, switched to Dot 4 now, will see!
