First Ride Impressions! - Rocky Mountain Instinct

We're back! I've got a few videos to catch up on but wanted to get this one out of my first ride on my Rocky Mountain instinct. I'm 6' 1" riding a size large, set up in the slackest geo setting with a 150mm fork. More exciting stuff to come!

I have a 2023 Instinct carbon. It corners way better than my Stumpy w those longish chain stays. It is great all-arounder and silent on the trail.

that looks like such a cool bike. did I notice a bit of under steer in your initial runs? did increasing sag on the back help with that? can't wait to see how you do this year on the new steed

I think it was more of an oversteer situation. The front wheels seem to be cutting more inside, then washing away. Then the sag helped more with that.

What’s your weight and fork settings? I just put a rxf36m.2 air on my altitude and I’m struggling a bit with setup

Plans to swap suspension and the shock mount to run it as an Altitude?

@@briancahal I just sold my Instinct that I rode for a few years. Loved it! Had a new '23 on order but there was a shortage so it got cancelled and ended up buying something different for now

To run it as a Altitude do you have to buy the Altitude Modular Shock Mount Kit 2 ? @@briancahal
