First ride on Monday the Direct Ship to Slaughter Percheron Draft Horse

Today we took Monday, the Percheron draft horse that was slated for slaughter last December out on his first ride. Bareback and only in a rope halter, he did fantastic!
He spooked a little at a neighbor's waving flag, but paid no attention to the cars that were driving by. Once we got the cobwebs worked out (which side of the road he was supposed to be on lol) he was a perfect gentleman.

I knew he do well, as he does very well when we go walking. People always look at us funny when we walk our horses like dogs lol.

He did fantastically! We were supposed to go for another ride today, but we had other commitments that we had of forgotten about lol. Looks like our next ride might be Wednesday or Thursday this week. Probably Thursday depending on the heat.
