Allen should try a V4, they are the best balanced motors of all. As for the r1, there is a time and place for them, as with all bikes made for specialty riding.

God dam it sounds awesome. Some raised clip ons would help. 100% about that V2, it looks the part but is def. missing that wow factor like I found on the new Street Triple. It's a shame the MT10 is so dam ugly and missing that sporty feel that the RS offers.

@@Arowland92 Have you tried a Z900 RS? The Yellow Ball edition is certainly pleasant to look at with the gold rims. Im trying to decide between the Zed or a Speed triple. Won't be the 765 though as i don't like the bug eyes or bar end mirrors either for that matter. And after owning an R1 for 15 years, i don't thing a 765 will cut it.
