Ooooooo! Commensal! That’s a cool choice. Don’t see too many out there and from what I understand (which isn’t much) they are a solid bike brand. Thanks for going w sheyn and bringing him back alive!

Thanks! That’s part of the reason I went with them. They aren’t a huge brand but from what I know (which isn’t a lot either) they are pretty solid. You’re welcome. I’m not sure it was me that brought him back alive, but we certainly survived together! 😂

That is not really my specialty at all. What specifically are you wanting advise on? Rebound speed? Compression? I don’t know a lot about any of it. For rebound I count how many clicks total and then go to the middle and either add speed or reduce as I ride more and get a feel. As far as compression I don’t really know. I do the same there. I usually but my body weight plus a tad more psi in the rear and start at about 90 in the front. Does any of that help? 😬
@TheJofrica
@TheJofrica 3 жыл бұрын
@@Hollywood8714 Yeah that helps, pretty similar to what I do for rebound. I'm mostly looking to neutralize chatter and small bumps, I don't do too much drops or large jumps, etc. I haven't messed too much with compression though, I might have a look into that. Thanks again!

@@Hollywood8714 You're welcome! And you're right, things like that seem to happen in the least expected places. I had a fall the other week right at the very end of a trail, like literally two feet away from the end where. a picnic table was. Washed out out of nowhere. I was ok though. Anyway, this area looks fantastic! The red dirt on the tires looks boss lol
@Hollywood8714
@Hollywood8714 3 жыл бұрын
I pretty never fall where you’d think would be the high risk areas. I hope you were ok. Moab is absolutely amazing. The red is what the stamp that you’ve been there for sure.
@TheJofrica
@TheJofrica 3 жыл бұрын
@@Hollywood8714 Thanks, I was ok and also swapped my helmet. It was a full face helmet, I examined the helmet, some of the fall damage would've been like my cheek and my jaw. Wasn't going that fast either. So I'm pretty much always wearing a full face now, even if it's a lighter/trail type full face. Moab looks amazing. I have relatives out in Utah, maybe I'll do some biking next time I'm out there. They visited us here in California, I pointed out to my uncle while we were driving, "That's mount such and such." He was like, "Those aren't mountains, those are hills where I'm from!" Haha
@Hollywood8714
@Hollywood8714 3 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen more and more people with the lighter full face. Feeling safe is part of the battle, so if wearing that makes you feel safe and helps you charge than awesome. Haha, yeah we have hills, then we have mountains. And sometimes mountains are called hills because the mountains around them are even bigger.

@Hollywood8714
@Hollywood8714 3 жыл бұрын
Sweet! That’s really exciting. I used the sizing chart on there website for my height and it said a large. It fits me perfect. I didn’t even have to lower or raise the seat. I did move the bars up by swapping the spacers.

Sweet session! When did you order your bike? I just ordered my Meta TR 29 and it’s expected to deliver by May. Did you experience any significant delays with your bike?
@Hollywood8714
@Hollywood8714 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I ordered it in July and for it toward the beginning of February. It was supposed to deliver in November. I wasn’t in a hurry so I was ok with it. Patience paid off, it’s great. And I completely understood the delay, they couldn’t do anything about the Covid closures and backups and all that.

Hi! What height are you? I am 5.10 , and debating between M and L . Also, what is the total bike weight with pedals? thanks in advance :-)
@Hollywood8714
@Hollywood8714 3 жыл бұрын
I am 6'1" and I think the large fits me perfect. I do not know the exact weight off hand, but I can tell you that it is not light. I bet between 35 and 40lbs. According to there website you fit in the medium (which you know), that is a hard one. I have long arms and legs as well. I may say it depends on how long your arms on legs are, if you have a pretty long reach a large may fit, but if you have a shorter reach a medium may be the better option. The major difference between the sizes online look to about about an inch, as far as reach, seat tube height and head tube.
