I would recommend making a trip to NM this late spring. Base camp in Santa Fe. You have the Glorieta trail system, A bunch of back country trails right from Ski Santa Fe, Angel Fire bike park, Pajorito Bike park, Taos mountain bike trails, South Boundary trail, and the list goes on.

Gotta say that cliff edge was intense! I biked along a quarry once with an exposed edge and I ended up putting my bike down on part of a tricky climb to use my bike as a ladder and I was terrified the entire time. 11:00 Scary AF - loved the Dismount Now sign 🪧 lol

Amazing video Paul!! i completely agree slick rock loop is brutal especially if you have not acclimated to the altitude. However a must do to experience the grip of those rocks is absolutely unreal! Portal is super sketchy, like keep looking ahead and to the right lol, walked a good portion of it. At the end of it like you said is a fantastic technical trail. I heard mixed reviews of captain ahab but i absolutely love it turn out to be my favorite after the whole enchilada. Thanks for the jackson trail review will try to hit it next time looks great!
@mrvwbug44233 жыл бұрын
Awesome drone shots. I spent a few days out there in late October and got to do most of the Whole Enchilada, that is definitely a bucket list worthy ride. Since you've already been to Moab and Sedona recently, maybe head east and hit Bentonville? Could probably hit some trails in Colorado on the way, we haven't gotten much snow yet so most trails below around 9000ft have been dry.

The area is beautiful. I hope one day I can ride something like this. This is complaining on a high level since I have a lot of mountains around me. But time and live is a bit in the way. Looking forward to new videos from your trip. You inspire me to try more and explore trails.

11:24 Adrenalin effect. It's amazing how great things appear after overloading your system with constant adrenalin. A personal experience ... I don't really enjoy sailing as the 1st person to come to your rescue ... is you.... the next may be hours away... as a 20yo I was piolt so dad/mum got to enjoy a holiday.. weather had been real bad in Nelson and we were sailing up East of D'Urville Isle. (NZ South Island)... Dad just wanted to look round the top and made me go right into Stephens passage to make a decision but finally agreed with me that it was hell on the other side... but I said.. uh sorry we're going through that (oncoming weather with following swells). (I had been playing with the GPS...) I had to point out.. our yacht, max 9kts, just sitting, was doing 12kts over the ground (fast tides on this coast) so if we turned now, we would be doing 3kts in reverse through "that'. So we went through.. in a 34' yacht... following a friends smaller yacht... with a 40ft mast... that in the 2nd trench away, the top of their mast was completely out of sight when we were on the crest... so...... over 40ft peaks. We were wheel standing a 34' yacht... in fact the adrenalin did some odd things.. I became fascinated with the other yacht (as we were soon on the same crest)... watching them launch so far off the peaks I was seriously trying to spot their propeller (keel cavity) appear out of the wave before they dived down the face. We had been doing nearly 20kts over the ground in a boat that can barely do 9kts when clean, into a howling gale, in 40ft surfing swells... running down the West side of D'Urville after that was just fun... We were in some of the worst weather I had been in (apart from the last hour)... Waves were about 10ft hitting us directly side on... and I was enjoying it... "But eventually you get past this... and the voyage turns into something that..."

Great video, some of my favorite trails in Moab! Check out Grafton Mesa if your in the St George/Hurricane Utah area. Use your ebike so you can ride it back up the road. The somewhat secret Mega Zen trail just off the Zen trail is a fun one in St George area too. Bootleg Canyon and Cowboy trails in Vegas are great if you want some challenging trails!

I wish I understood why there are any ebike restricted trails at all. Is it to make the purists feel better? I often follow those on analog bikes up climbs constantly spinning their rear wheel before they decide to dismount, while it almost never happens while climbing on my Levo. Therefore I cause far less damage. What gives?

I've seen ebikes chew up the steep sections of gravel surfaced trail center trails, but on sand and rock that consideration seems irrelevant.
@caseyk66252 жыл бұрын
They don't want people going out on E-bikes and letting their battery die in the middle of nowhere and not being able to pedal back out with such a heavy bike leading to a search and rescue. Trails like these and E-bikes will get people out on these trails that otherwise shouldn't be out on trails like these. It's simply a safety measure.
