There was a bit of slack in the dropper cable that was causing most of it. A bit of rattle in the pads

Just as a follow up.... I put in non finned pads. Bike is dead quiet :)

Thanks, can you give your like ranking on Bc’s bike park near Calgary? Panorama, fernie, reverstoke kicking horse ? I’d like to plan a vacation at one of these places next summer for biking. Thanks

Panorama, revelstoke, Kicking horse, fernie. Once revy has a few more trails it’ll be number one. If fernie ever brings back timber chair, it would be number 2. None are as good as silverstar, sun peaks, and whistler.

Good Content! But the quality wasn't the best. Maybe resort to 4k? Hate to pick out the negatives but the Gopro angle also wasn't ideal. Tilt it slightly down so more of your frame is visible. How do you like the FB compared to your previous Slayer? I find 27.5 bikes more fun but I have heard that the firebird is really playful. Is this the case?

Over a year later whats the verdict on this bike? Was it worth buying or do you wish you stuck to a smaller bike?

I did a review video of it in August, but in summary, yes it was worth buying - for my uses. I use this bike at bike parks, I also do a lot of pedaling and ride a mix of gravity and a bit of xc trails. It has plenty of travel to soak up the big hits, but it's also no so long and slack as to make it cumbersome on my local trails, which tend to be quite tight. If my riding were focused more on bombing steeps, a long and slacker bike would probably be a (tiny?) bit faster. No complaints with cilmbing at all - I've done days of up to 2200m of climbing. Only complaint on the bike was rattle - fixed with some Jagwire foam housing.

Thanks man! Appreciate the feedback. I agree on the camera angle - I'll tilt down a bit more in the future. As for the 4k....It is recorded and uploaded in 4k with a high bitrate. I've been trying to narrow down the issue and I think it's due to the shakiness of my helmet and the hypersmooth. Quality drops noticeably in the rougher terrain when mounted on my helmet, but looks great if I have it in my chestmount gimbal. My solution will probably be a differrent helmet - one that fits tighter and doesnt bounce around due to the weight of the go pro. The 29 wheels took a little gettting used to. The FB climbs noticeably better than the slayer. I've found the rear suspension to be more compliant over the rough stuff on the FB. As for playfulness, one of the reasons I chose the FB was to retain some of the playfulness I had with the 27.5 wheels on the slayer, and I'd say they're pretty similar in that regard.
