First Ride: Suzuki's new V-Strom 250SX

While out in Durban (South Africa) on the recent launch of Suzuki's new DL1050DE V-Strom, they surprised us by bringing along the brand new and only V-Strom 250SX in South Africa for us to sample. Now, although we wouldn't get to spend much time on the 250, it did in fact leave a positive and lasting impression on us.

an interesting review ,to get the best of her ,an little advice the ABS can be swith off by just unplug the 2nd blue fuse under rider seat,and with a offroad tyres you will ride as if she is a Motorcross,light weight ,agressive torque ,thank you for your sharing video

Will unplugging the ABS not affect other stuff. I remember reading someone comment on another small capacity bike where, when they unplugged the ABS, it knocked off the speedo or something like that.

I agree with steveh7823 I could not watch this any longer than 1:27 due to the camera zooming in. Shame about this!

Great review. I never thought I’d be looking at an Adventure bike but simply after a small capacity lighter weight bike for commuting. This seems to be good, but my only concern is if it’s possible to change the seat as I’m only 5’7” and prefer flat footing than tip-toeing. On a totally separate note, do people modify/customise adventure bikes? I’ve seen folks turn the TU250x into grass trackers etc so wondered if folks do anything like that to these sorts of bikes?
