Beautiful day for a first ride, GM. If you haven't already ordered the SHAD SH36 boxes I'd recommend you check out the SH35s. They are pricier but, I think, a nicer shape that suits the RS well. They have an aluminium panel which goes well with the brushed stainless tank cover and engine cowl too. Very pleased with mine.

The color of the bike is great. Try tanbag sw-motech. They have a nice ring mounting system. I have an evo day pack model and am happy with it.

I'd argue quite well your R1200R was sporty, at least the most chuck-able amongst the several versions back then, even better than the R1200RS. Glad to see u back on a bike, especially a BMW. Obviously life is much better for you these days I'm sure. 'better than sex' depends how much your getting. If your satisficed well a bike will do it every other time. That was one tentative ride mind. Either way good on you (:
