First rip with issues😱Arrma Outcast 4s V2.5

What's up y'all this is an awesome truck. Just need to get this issue figured out and she'll be golden. Still running the stock electronics I didn't do anything to the truck. I didn't even go over it like I typically do I just bolted on the M2C Racing chassis brace/bash bar and hexes with nice pretty shiny wheel nuts. Also running the CRCU T2T. I am thinking about putting a castle ESC and motor and still keep it on 4S let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Something you said at the end of this video really hit home for me. I’m the same as you I do it because it’s fun and it keeps me out of trouble, I won’t go back… rc has kept me outta trouble for almost 10 yrs now. being a single pops to the most amazing little girl, me keeping my head straight and staying out of trouble is so important.. before I had to Sell my rc collection, my therapy was those late nights wrenching fixing trucks and trying to figure out life. Then bashing the hell out of them only to be up late fixing them again. But man I couldn’t agree more rc is the best hobby and I thoroughly enjoy watching you send these trucks. My v1 4s outcast Was my fav 4s rig. It’s great because my little princess enjoys the hobby with me. I was fortunate enough to get her a Gorgon which we both love to start our collection over again

That’s awesome to hear dude, I think there’s quite a few of us in this hobby for the same reasons. for me I would probably be in the ground or jail If it wasn’t for this hobby I had all kinds of help through the years family friends tried to help me and it did not work. Fuck I even tried to help myself and it didn’t work But then this hobby came around and it was over after that. I never looked back. I’m super grateful for what this has done for me so I get it 100% just keep at it bro and keep your head up and enjoy the hobby. 🚀💪🤩👍👊

Hell yeah brother I feel the same way. back when I got in the hobby was just when I got out about 10 yrs ago. I’ll tell you what those late nights wrenching on. Cars probably saved me in more ways than I could ever imagine. Believe it or not my RC collection is the only reason I have full custody of my little girl right now. The ex emptied every bank account and took everything and I had 10 days to get ready for court. I had nothing except for my 10 year RC collection. thankfully I was able to sell my entire collection for pennies on the dollar in order to afford a lawyer to win custody of my little girl! She loves the hobby just like me and she watches videos with me. Unfortunately, now I don’t have any of my cars or trucks, but that doesn’t matter because I have my little girl! I was able to get her a Gorgon which me and her have a blast with. I mean it sure as hell is nothing like my old 8 and 6s Kraton decked out with the important m2c stuff, Or any of the other awesome trucks I had. But it still is so much fun to share the hobby with my little girl!! I guess you could say me and her are starting a new rc collection together except this time it’ll take a while cuz the “egg donor” ex as I call her took everything. But I got the only thing that matters my amazing little girl and being with her every single day and night!! Thanks for the awesome videos me and her love watching them. Been watching for a long time

Thank you brother I appreciate the kind words. My little girl is my world and there’s not a thing I would not do for her. I’m just happy that she’s already pretty good with the transmitter and she likes RC cars. It’ll be cool we can start building the collection together. Shes never seen me w a drink in my hand and cant imagine me being wild and running around with women all the time. Polar opposite now. Noone can believe it actually. Shes the coolest person i know and for yrs now literally the only person i hang out with. If you’d told me this was my life 15 yrs ago id have collapsed and sobbed. I love it. What's up Aldo. Thought I heard you say you might try E6000 on the body? I'm here to tell ya it works great. I did it to my Granite body several months back and it still has no cracks. I don't jump as far and high as you do, but I do bash hard. The other day at the skate park and landed directly on the roof from about 10 feet up and no problem. I don't know how much it helped, but I sprayed a couple coats of Flex Seal over the E6000 after it set. It does help with keeping dirt from sticking to it. Just wanted to share. Keep it up bro. Hell yeah dude thanks for that info. Great tip about the flexseal. Might have to try that seems like the dirt just gets stuck everywhere cool to hear your body still holding up. I’m lucky to get one or two sessions out of a body unless I do some kind of upgrade to the body. Awesome rip Brother Aldo 🤗. The short run times are likely bum factory programming with the V2 ESC. Can't emphasize this enough.... Horizon has to get this right. It's not rocket science. Test your electronics thoroughly before releasing new product 🥶. FFS... this is frustrating as hell. Same crap with my Mojave 4s. 4-6 minutes of run time is simply unacceptable. This early LVC junk is for the birds. Kinda like doing an ESC swap just to finish the run as the sun is setting 😂. Great run either way Brother 🚀🚀. The truck is tough no question. Hopefully they'll get the programming sorted before the next batch. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Thank you so much Rich I hear ya brother it’s very frustrating. I seen your videos with the Mojave that definitely is aggravating especially on a new RC. If you’re not wanting to change the ESC ya shouldn’t have to and honestly I just don’t feel like taking the time to update the ESC firmware to get it to work properly I’d rather just swap in something else like you did. It’s an awesome little truck and I enjoyed just running it on 4s. Man that run time sucks I use cnhl 8000mah 120c.... I get 22-25 hard minutes with mine they are almost 1 year old now that was on the stock electronics now I've got a max10 combo not sure run time it broke after about 11 minutes.... I absolutely love the 4s line also have the Mojave 4s and a v2 KRATON 4s .... great video as always brother keep rockin

Yeah dude it sucked for sure but I’m not gonna run a big heavy pack like that in my trucks and send them like I do they wouldn’t last very long. I try to keep my packs 5000 mah or lower on all my cars if possible.

yes sir the performance is definitely there for an RTR. They never disappoint for some the ESC and motor issue would be a problem but for me it’s coming out anyway and going to get the juice only way to make the salami happy😂. Thanks for the awesome parts motor mount is going in next with mo power

Thanks man I did all that in the very beginning. I had the LVC set down to the very lowest setting. I had a few friends that had the same exact problem with theirs so I just swapped out the electronics. I’ve got a castle system in it now and she’s running good.

Amazing sends as always! I have the chance to get an outcast 4s v2.5 or a granite blx which I would widen if I got it. I mainly jump and like having air control and doing backflips etc. I do want a car that’s durable and easy to work on since I want to wrench as little as possible, although it’s a part of the hobby. Which would you reccomend? :)

Thanks, but I don’t see where you get several hundred dollars from an $80 chassis brace and four wheel lugs. Don’t equal several hundred dollars from M2c. If you have seen any of my other trucks, you would consider this truck stock by far all I have done was bolt the chassis brace on change the wheel, lugs and put a better tower to tower. Shocks are still stock never been opened. The diffs never been opened same electronics never been touched Pretty stock to me but thanks for the visit. Have an amazing day.✌️

Wassup bradda! I just got the same exact truck, PLZ throw the upgraded castle in it! I really want to see what this thing can do 🔥🔥 I saw other people changing their low voltage threshold ESC setting to get longer run times 🤙🏾🤙🏾 I hope this helps and if it does can you post a video about it to help everyone. I also got a ESC program box and it says you have to update the ESC on windows!

It's the esc. I had the exact same issue. The lvc threshold is too high and the batteries are tripping lvc on voltage spikes and voltage sagging. I'd replace it with almost anything else and you'll be golden. 35 years rc experience here.

Appreciate the info but I think it’s a little more than that my packs both of them were completely drained one was at a 3.25. The other one was at a 3.35 so it’s draining those packs pretty far down I’m gonna switch out the motor and ESC anyway, and when doing that, I’m gonna see if there’s any drag that would be causing a higher amp draw than normal

I wonder if you have a bad connection. The reason I say that is usually the voltage at the esc will be lower than the battery voltage if the solder joint is bad. Dunno for sure, just kind of brainstorming.

Typically I go through these trucks from top to bottom before I even run them but with this one I was being lazy. I did go in and check the ESC settings, but that was it. I’m gonna try to figure it out before I go swapping the motor and ESC just so I know.

I love the outcast 4s it's my favorite skatepark truck. Some how you didn't break it lol only breakage was my shock rod ends. I run it completely stock. I did set my esc on fire... big air and landed flat on pavement. Sounds like you need some glasses... you don't wanna miss that booty lol

I wish we had a decent skate park around here where I’m at but the closest decent one is a couple hour drive and I’m not down for that just to run an RC car, but it would be pretty awesome. Might have to do it once or twice a year. This is definitely a tough truck and can take one hell of a beating sucks about the Shock Rod ends but that’s an easy fix ESC fires definitely suck. Update the firmware on the ESC. That will fix the LVC issue. I get 15-18 min on a 5200mah 120C pack

Thanks dude that’s some decent time and not a real big Lipo either. that’s nice seeing other guys run smaller packs I think it’s unnecessary to run big 8000 mah packs in these little trucks. I might try to update the ESC but honestly I’m thinking about going ahead and putting the castle system in it. I’ve already ordered it, just need to do the swap. Wait till you figure out you lose reverse randomly. Between the LVC and the loss of reverse, I'm almost certain that's it's the ESC at fault. Sad, because these things aren't cheap. I'm on my second attempt to open a case with Arrma and so far I'm getting no return of my emails.

@@AldoLoyal It really does suck. Love the truck, already fixed the servo saver issue and the steering is much better now. Installed some halo lights that look sick and are functional. Hate to return it if they don't respond. But I'm sure they are dealing with Alot of issues right now.

No, I haven’t even messed with it yet. I’m kind of thinking there’s a drag somewhere something binding. I just need to open it up and look I’ve got the LVC turned down so low it’s ridiculous. I haven’t tried turning it off or upgrade the firmware but honestly I don’t really feel like messing with it that much. I’m probably just gonna swap in a mamba X and get it over with.
