****UPDATE AFTER MY LONG RUN**** So I actually ended up running my 16 miler on Saturday to avoid Hurricane Henri. I did 12 miles EZ followed by 4 at MP (around 8:00/mi). The shoes really felt great and definitely carried me the distance. I had much more room in the toe box than I do in the next%, and the shoes were able to help me pick up the pace for the final 4. I do wish they were just a tadddd bit softer, and my PF pain came and went periodically, but nothing too serious. All in all I am still very impressed!

I also wish they’d be a bit softer, but they definitely are a true competitor to the Next%, even though the ride is very different. Recently having slight problems with PF myself, I suspect that it’s the result of running in soft, higher stacked shoes too often as an overpronator. I first encountered the problems after adding the Tempo Next%, and VF Next% to my rotation. After avoiding them for two weeks and only running in standard daily trainers, things got better. (Which makes me sad, because I love super shoes!)

Have you gotten a foot scan/foot analysis. Especially with how much your pronate over a marathon distance or longer runs and insert can really help with relieving pain/soreness in that plantar area. I also don’t do stability shoes because it hurts my knee’s and foot. I tend to do a insert and neutral shoes. Might help just an idea

Totally agree that one can tend to identify visual telltale signs that a shoe won't work for them after looking at many shoes together that didn't work previously -- excessive softness, high heel stack, narrow heel, flimsy heel counter, excessively flimsy upper... any combination of probably two or more and I'm likely out. Great analysis of how this shoe reacts differently for those that supinate vs. pronate, love to learn stuff! Love the couch, especially Ruby interrupting for attention! She's the best.

Great video, I was also pleasantly surprised by the PRO2. It’s been my go to 5km & 10KM shoe and PR’d in this one. I like the ground feel over the shorter distance but for half marathon I think the Next%2 is my favourite, although I’m actually thinking the VP%1 might have been better. For a marathon I’m liking the RC Elite v2, lots of comfort, speed and stack height 👟🏃🏻‍♂️👍

Reverse the laces so they come up thru the holes instead of going down thru the holes..no idea why adidas does that but you can't get a good lockdown that way ..all my other shoes all pull up thru and get a good lockdown..

This shoe my first run felt amazing and as the miles crept in i started to notice my feet had a weird pain . And watching my own video footage i noticed I was wobbling tomuch and i wasn't super stable , they do wanna go fast but they force you to run a certain way.. first run was amazing for me . Then it went downhill

I had the same problem with lacing and there is an easy quick fix. Just remove the laces and then relace the traditional way, i.e. go through the laces holes bottom up.

Great shoe. i use it almost every day. but there is a few things i don't like about it. Laceing the shoe can be a pain to get right. and they are unstable as u say, but for me it's only around sharp corners/turns. It's not really the best when it comes to slower/recovery runns. But it's great for your speed runns. i have used them on a lot of gravel, and i can't see much damage done to them them at all. but i must mention this is very nice compact gravel roads.

The difference in pronation compared to the next% is massive. For a marathon, if you are going for a "super"shoe, this should win you over. As a slight pronator I'm also really intrigued by this shoe. Also saw Bens review prior to this and it looks like he has a very slight suppination going on, causing the shoe to "malfunction" for him.

As long as the rainbow balloon is in the background, you can’t ever lose that. Plot twist on this shoe. At first it seemed like you were going to hate it then at the end you liked it. I think it’s a nice looking shoe. Really good review!

This was such an in-depth video I absolutely love it! Also the new recording spot is the move especially if it means more ruby!. I think they intention of the carbon robs was to make it more flexible in the forefoot and in order to fix that they had to make the foam stable hence making it stiffer and the carbon plate as well! It’s nice to see stability integrated. I 100 percent agree with the new Boston the Boston 9 was amazing and now it’s gone :((.

Hi Emily, it seems that I was not the only one who saw that you noticibly pronated less in these shoes than any other. Really glad they worked first you as other reviews that I had watched focused on the firmer ride in comparison to the others such as next % etc. Even though I'm not into them I like your T shirt! Ruby is now your co-host. She is lovely. I have a cat but she is so sweet! The sofa thing ( we say sofa in UK) is cool. Go with it! We don't say 'adeedus' so it was very interesting hearing you pronounce adidas as we say here! And yes the name is way too long!! As someone who overpronates, I agree that the way the heel is more extended on the medial side is a bit of a godsend. Makes a big and welcome difference to me personally. Huge fan of the Adios Pro 2.

Great video!!! I am thinking of purchasing a “super shoe” soon but I keep thinking I am not fast enough for one. I usually run my races on an endorphin speed and my fastest half a marathon is 1:40 which I don’t think is very fast 😞 what’s your advice when it comes to when to purchase super shoes?

How you been dealing with your PF, Ive been suffering from that after I rolled my ankle, so far Im able to run, but have to roll the spike ball, foam roll my ankles and calves, roll freeze bottle of water, an stretch my low calves, can you share your tips pls.

Honestly when I had really bad PF a issues I just didn’t run for a couple of weeks. That truly did help. Other than that I’ve rolled my foot out on a spikey ball that I have, and I’ve used my theragun mini on it quite a bit

Two runs in this shoe now....First Adidas for me and I have two emotions for this shoe....Love and Hate. But the Love outweighs the Hate by a huge margin. Once I get this shoe on and laced up I absolutely love this shoe. At speed they are a dream. In all honestly for me I like this shoe more than the VaporFly Next%. Now...These &^%$#%^& laces! Man, it's a 10 minute routine to get these things on properly. I give this shoe a 9/10 with a point deducted for the laces.🇨🇦

@@RunLikeHeller I made a little adjustment to the laces and bypassed the lace loop on the tongue. It makes it easier to get the lacing the way I want it and the gusseted tongue keeps it from slipping around. There is something to be said about simple laces like Saucony uses that Nike and Adidas could learn from. 🇨🇦
