I quit running after my 1st marathon L.A. 2022 when I hobbled in with a knee injury at 6 hours 14 minutes 😢 I also smashed my face into asphalt that year. I'm 68 now, just bought a pair of Clifton 9's and starting my journey again. Easy does it. Always love your reviews.

I’ve had all four Speed models & loved them. Currently 30 miles on Speed v.4 & given my run needs, just not sure this is “needed”, though I love the Endorphin line!

I haven't run consistently for a couple of years but I committed and bought my entry to an April marathon a few weeks ago. I have some old Vaporflys that are pretty dead and a few 'running' shoes that aren't overly good for actual running. I've just bought a pair of Gel Nimbus 26s for training and some Hoka Cielo x1s for the final few long runs & marathon day. Happy to see the Hokas get some nice praise here

Thanks for all your videos this year. Really enjoyable content. Here in the UK New Balance shoes cost a fortune. I also can’t get on with the fit of the shoes. ASICS have made some bangers this year and it feels like everybody forgot about the Endorphin Speed 4. Nevertheless, great list. Happy New Year!

I blind bought this shoe and I am obsessed with it. It is so so comfortable and I usually end up running 20-40 seconds faster per mile than with my daily trainers. It also helps that it looks very slick. Only thing I would say (from experience) - don't run in snow/sludge with it, it has no grip for that at all. 😿

Vongo v6 most runs...( 1/2 marathons/ marathons ) is my favorite to date. Propell ( 5K & 10k) for short faster distances. New Balance is great with providing large sizes and supportive shoes for overpronators like me.

I run with a Time Machine lol. My new shoes to the rotation are gel nimbus 25 and triumph 21. The triumph 21 is pretty awesome daily and long run shoe.

Hoka cielo x1 my favorite shoes in 2024

I have some other categries in my list, but some are the same: Daily trainer: Novablast 4 Daily speed trainer: mach 6 Speedy long runs: Mach X2 Long runs: Superblast 2 Carbon super shoe; Cielo X1 2025 Wishlist :) Mach 7 (is this coming???) Mach X3, Cielo X1 2.0. And I heard Asics should be coming with other models in the "blast" family. Really curious about that too.

I can't believe the purple Novablast 5 has already been out of stock everywhere!

Interesting comment about the Metaspeed's slight instability leading to "sore" feet. I run in Boston 12's and have "sore" feet after long runs. Could that be a factor?

You had me at the MTC R1. That's my shoe of the year by a wide margin. I ran a fasted 5x5: five marathons in five days while fasting, all in the R1.

A great list! My favorite super shoe this year is the Puma Deviate Elite 3; daily trainer is the Adidas Supernova Prima; super trainer is the Boston 12 (I know not a 2024 release but still my favorite in the category). Looking forward to trying the Evo SL and Pro 4 next year.

Have a good holiday season (at least what's left of it) my picks Racing: Puma Deviate Elite 3, not really a contest, I liked the Metaspeed Sky Paris but Asics plates beat me up for some reason. Deviate Elite is exactly what I look for in a racing shoe, light, cushioned, aggressive and the Puma Grip was great in Chicago through all the sticky aid stations Long Run: Superblast 2. Don't really need to say much Max Cushion: Puma Magmax. Upper fits well, nice rocker geometry, softish without being overly soft (IMO, I don't really love soft shoes) Daily: Novablast 5, runner up Adidas SL2. EVO SL would be on this list because it's fantastic but it doesn't officially launch until next year Tempo: I think the Superblast could be here? I've done workouts in them, but if we are talking strictly workout shoe, then Nike Zoom Fly 6

After trying many shoes including plated ones, I decided superblast 1 will be my 1st marathon shoe. Mainly because it feels comfortable and most importantly in my mind I can trust it won't give me any major issues. I couldn't get hold of version 2 but heard it's v similar. And that's exactly how my race went, it was rock solid! It never felt hot, unstable, not grippy, heavy, mid sole getting soft/less bouncy. I even ran much faster than I expected. It carried me to the finishing line. I'm in awe with this shoe! No other shoes I've bought could do that. Perfect running shoe.
