Looked like some familiar roads after you left Martin 👍 I like it back by the reservoir, nice county roads.

I’ve had my 2021 updated Speed Twin for about 3 weeks now. Booked for first service next week at 1000km. Must admit I am not a fan of careful running in. The main thing - even according to the Triumph manual - is vary the revs, so mine has been “run in” a bit more aggressively. Luckily in Australia we don’t get stickers all over the tank to tell us what to do so no conscience 😎. Anyway this bike is a thing of beauty and brings a smile to my face every time I jump on. Best bike I’ve owned in 45 years of riding! Your video style is great. Looking forward to travelling more through your videos. Cheers

I agree that the Speed Twin is gorgeous to look at. When I saw one on the showroom floor, I couldn't resist! Thank you for your kind words about my videos. I'll try to keep churning them out.

Good video man!! First service is definitely an important one! Probably the most important one for a new bike. Nice extras!! I wouldn't mind some heated grips and a helmet lock!

Unfortunately, the helmet lock is slightly blocked when the saddlebags are on.

Great video! What crash bars do you have installed on your speed twin?
@TrekkieMoto4 ай бұрын
Thank you! The crash bars are the standard Speed Twin "dresser bars" from Triumph that I bought with the bike.

Been meaning to comment on one of your uploads for awhile now… love your vids! Just got a Speed Twin myself and I’m about to take it in for it’s first service next week. I’ve done a ton of research and know of a couple things you might be interested in since you plan on keeping your bike for a long time (like myself). I just discovered the trend of putting neodymium magnets on the oil filter. Was sceptical and thought it was probably a gimmick at first, but then I did a lot of reading and research into it, and I am absolutely convinced. Also ordered a magnetic drain plug from a company called Dimple. Figure these will be very beneficial, especially during the break-in process. Also, wouldn’t really say you’re 100% out of the woods yet… there’s RPM recommendations on that sticker on your tank that, admittedly, I’m probably a stickler for following… Anyway, keep up the excellent work!

I just watched a RevZilla "shop manual" video a week or so ago that talked about these very things. The video was all-in for the magnets on the oil filter, but not so much for the drain plug. Thanks for watching!

@@TrekkieMoto That’s the video that got me into it! Lol And yes, the issue with the drain plugs is that there’s a lot of cheap crap out there… But if you get one that’s made from stainless steel not aluminum, and a neodymium magnet not a cheap ceramic one, you should be good

Lovely ride and you must be pleased that your first service and oil change is done at last. Pity the saddlebags block the helmet lock, does that mean you cannot use it unless you remove the saddlebags? Your buddy John seems to be a friendly character, nice little intro John :-)

Yeah, the saddlebags would have to come off. Although I could loop a padlock through the bike lock and then it would probably be okay.

@@TrekkieMoto I just use a foot long coated steel cable with loops on both ends and run it through the little bracket that the seat locks onto
