Seems like covid will affect everyone differently. Someone who I worked with had covid and showed light symptoms and I was tested positive but was completely asymptomatic. There are also people who get vaccinated and still die from it so it really depends on who you are. I've heard that vitamin D is supposed to get you past any symptoms.

I’m 19 and I had covid recently as well, lost 10 pounds in about 10 days and the gym was very hard to get back into. Like you said, my endurance was not even close to what it was prior, but luckily strength remained relatively similar- losing about 15% of my strength overall.

You didn't lose 10 pounds, most of that is water weight and glycogen. I myself "lost" 7 but bounced back within a couple days of refeeding

@@youthought878 Well in that case I lose 2 pounds when pooping lol. I think people overexaggerate their weight loss in many instances. Lean mass and fat is the best metric to track what you lost and how it relates to performance in the long run.

I think it's good, especially for younger lifters, to see you have to build back up. Its something you've gotten use to and you focus on keeping yourself injury free which is good for beginners, and even intermediates to see.

i had to take 3 weeks off because we went back into lockdown and boy did i make a mistake. pulled my back the first day back. sure hope i took it slower than i did (even tho i did take some weight off the bar). better to take it down too much than not enough

Man, lucky you, you don't have the post-covid syndrome. Me, however, I had it and lasted almost a month after being free from it. Those were - Tinnitus and Vertigo(and I lost my balance a lot since my covid were considered as Severe - [there are MILD, SEVERE, and CRITICAL]). I cant even hardly maxxed up my lung breathing 100%, maybe its about 80-85%, this is after free from covid. But thank God! Vertigo is gone, I hate it a lot. But Tinnitus is still here for a month now. I still didn't go to the Gym yet as I'm still trying to get some stretch or back to basic. Start from home stretching and mild exercise. And now lifting 40lbs DB at home without getting dizzy now. And next month, I'm surely going to get back to the Gym. Anyway, glad to see you guys recovered well...

I love your videos. I've been training not very frequently recently but decided to start supplementing my diet with whey and creatine. My diet is veggie/vegan so having the creatine really helps. My strength has shot up and I've managed to increase my bench to 140kg. I'm at around 85kg hydrated now. Whereas I was about 81-82 prior

Actually just started, but I have a bench at the house and always scared to max out or go till failure cuz I don’t have a spotter. The name ”close grip bench” itself can be a bit missleading since the grip isnt actually that close lol. just a little narrower than normal bench. for me example since im benching kinda between close grip and normal bench grip. Ive trained with ur benchprogram for a while now but i have only benched 2times a week and my bench has got so much stronger so thanks alot for that.

Your priorities usually change when you start a family, so your gains may take a back seat to your family as weird as it may sound right now. Even if you want to prioritize your gains, everyone has “me” time. Carve out an hour or two and go be healthy. You may have to cut back on other time consuming hobbies when the child is younger, but it’s all good! Figure out your family schedules and see when you can make time for your hobby.
