Sweet!!!! I got 4 this morning (3-30-24) from shore on the U.S. side.. Everyone told me "low and slow" and I still wasn't catching any until I switched to short fast snaps and then they started hammering it.. Of course tapping the bottom on every jig.. Catching just one is a "curious George", LOL

Awesome...I just caught my personal best yesterday from the St Laurence River near Montreal on the last day allowed by law. 62 cm, probably 3.7 kg ( did not have scale. Catch and release of course as by law as fish over 53cm must be released. Cant tell you how excited I was to catch it...and release it as well.

Not keepers those are babies where I fish keepers are 3-4 lbs ,not 1 pound .

I prefer to keep the (legally sized) smaller walleye out the river. Less toxins accumulated.

canada tehre is no lgel limit size but I like the 15to 20 range in inches cause its clean meat and I live alone so I dont have to keep as much but yes preferable 2-3 lbs
