Got mine 1 week ago. It is so much fun at the range. Had many people come ask me about it.

Would be a great squirrel/rabbit gun. Something that shoots a group at a decent price point that most people can afford. Great video man

Sure would. Thanks

The missus and I each have one of these, both rifles have cheap scopes mounted...they are our primary plinking guns, running cheap bulk ammo out to 100 yards...the guns have been completely reliable, and easy to clean...we normally trying to hit 4 inch targets at 100 yards, and get a kick out of hitting a smaller target...with better ammo at 50 yards we can group about an inch, which is fine for small game if we got to starving...for the money invested we are very happy with the rifles...

Great vid. I picked up the Henry 001 and a Ruger Wrangler. They run the same ammo , shorts plinking in the back yard or long rifles out hunting. I found a Simmons .22 MAG 4x32mm scope at Wally World and added it to the Henry-helps seeing the targets at 50 yards. With Federal Auto-Match I get groups under quarter size. 1200fps 40 grain round nose lead. Try the CCI .22 copper plated hollow points-1105 fpc you might be surprised what the Henry can do with them and it can hold 21 of them. Keep up the good work. "Jeanie"

Thanks. That’s awesome. I may snag a scope for mine. I actually had one on another rifle and took it off. Eye relief on the scope wasn’t far enough for me causing me to not get it in my shoulder right and so on. I’ve founds some shorts and “quiet” rounds as well. Can’t wait to take it out some more. Thanks for stopping by and watching. Happy holidays

I really like mine. I couldn’t shoot the factory sights well enough to do the rifle justice so I put a 4x32 scope on it. I made sure the factory sights were zeroed for my preferred ammo, Remington Thunderbolt. Never had an accuracy issue with them but they won’t run my semi autos. The Henry runs them no problem.

Yeah, with my changing eyesight, everything is getting an optic.
@me2bfc2 жыл бұрын
@@JBJHonez no kidding. Out to 25 with this rifle they work pretty good but beyond that it’s not great. Did you have a problem with elevation adjustments? Mine was quite high and I had to get another band from He ray then file it down. Then after all that trouble I put a scope on it. I wanted the factory sights to work even if I did scope it.

Factory sights are garbage.
@me2bfc2 жыл бұрын
@@TommyBoy11 as much as I hate it I have to agree a little. I had to get a taller front post to be able to zero them with high velocity (1250 fps) ammo. The factory sights work but not everyone uses a 6 o’clock hold to hit the center of an 8” target at 50 yards. I can shoot pretty good with them out to 25-30 yards. Past that it gets ugly real fast.
@JBJHonez2 жыл бұрын
@@TommyBoy11 they’re only bad for me because of my eyesight. Before my eyesight started going to crap, I was shooting really good with them out to 100yds, which is my max for most of these anyways

Our son's and i have 1 each, we love ours. My eyesight has really decreased over the years so yah i had to put a scope on mine, The receiver is as you said has a "dove tail" rail on it and it's a 3/8 inch dovetail i contacted Henry prior to putting a weaver rail on it and they said why it's already got a dovetail built right into the receiver. Dumb me i thought it was just a design on it lol 😆. We love them a lot . Thanks for your input I'll be saving this video aswell.

I’ll see what I can set up when the weather is better. I’d probably have to put a scope on it due to my eye sight
