The first thing I did was get the high flow air filter because it absolutely gives you 10 more hp. I discovered this when I had my 2019 Yamaha MT09. I use to ride in 4th gear on the highway, and I could hear the engine struggling at 55mph. I put the high flow filter in to purposely see if there was a difference. I got on the highway, hit 4th gear. I'm cruising at 65 mph. And from that day forth I didn't need 5th and 6th gears riding on fort worth, Texas hwys.

Head unit and speaker adapters from Engineered Adapters paired with 4 x 6.5 speakers and a solid amp. Be prepared for about 1k in cost. You'll want the PAC unit for bar controls and some sound dampening material for the fairing. I personally replaced my front headlamp with an full LED unit. Looks way more modern. You can go all in and get the aux lights as well. 11-12" mini apes gives you a lot better comfort and less lean into the bars which I needed for my carpal tunnel. Definitely get the Ivan flash, but wait until you get new exhaust so it's a one and done. The air intake isn't really needed unless you're living life above 4k rpm. Get a low pro antenna for sure. That whip antenna is a PITA and ugly AF.
@AJXLMedia3 жыл бұрын
HaHa! You just laid a blueprint out of what I am looking at for the bike. I have the speakers adapters and marine speakers coming this week. Just replaced the antenna lol (they are horrible, I don't know what Kawasaki was thinking). I am not going to replace the head unit yet, using a Bluetooth adapter (video coming soon). What type of handlebars did you get? Ivan flash? Did it fix the jerkiness, etc.? more low-end power? For pipes I'm looking at freedom exhaust 2 into 1 after I hit 600 miles. Thanks for the reply and watching!
@Jermz19793 жыл бұрын
@@AJXLMedia JSR 12" Mini Apes. Night and day difference in comfort. They should work great with your Klock Werks. I'd definitely get an amp at least. I'm using a fairly inexpensive Skar Audio amp and Marine grade Kenwood head unit, but it's been going strong for a year now and the sound quality is night and day from stock. With the bag speakers as well as the fairing speakers, I definitely get looks at the lights. I do a lot of long distance riding and listen to audiobooks to help pass the time as well and the clarity you get with a good amp/speaker/head unit combination can't be understated. Ivan will be the best upgrade you can make. It will definitely fix the jerking you get going into 5th and 6th sometimes. Do that exhaust upgrade first though, because Ivan maps it for your exhaust. Don't listen to guys saying it makes it a whole new bike, it absolutely doesn't. What it does do is make the bike what it should be and live to it's full potential. It will also kick on the radiator fan a bit earlier to keep your engine a bit cooler. I've owned a lot of bikes through the years. I do Iron Butt rides at least once a month, and straight up...this bike just runs. If you are going to be doing a lot of long distance riding, invest in a Russell Day Long seat. It's expensive at about a grand, but Mustangs and Corbins can't hold a candle to it. You can do 24 hours in the saddle and feel great.

@@Jermz1979 Great feedback! I have seen those bars on a lot of vaquero's. Funny, I actually ordered the Skar marine speakers after seeing some reviews, specs and pricing. I wouldn't be surprised that I will need an amp and head unit. The factory speakers are garbage lol. Good to hear on the IVAN. I have owned and driven a bunch of different bikes. The way it handles now I could deal with but if I can make it better that's great! I put 4 hours straight on the bike a couple of weeks ago, I don't think the factory seat will handle much more lol. I kick myself every time i see a Vaquero ride past me. I gave up my 2018 for a 2020 HD Road king Special. Ivan tuned, Freedom 2 into 1 exhaust, Passenger back Rest, Aux Lights, Klock Werks windshield, JVC Radio, Alpine amplifier and Alpine Speakers. I gave all that up for a Harley that I thought was better. Boy, did I find out I was wrong. Can't beat a Vaquero for the price, looks, ride and dependable.

lol, I have to make some changes in my video editor. It is fine when produced but once it is uploaded it is muffled. I have figured it now. Thank you
