Was looking at a bunch of the god kits... They reverted a lot of gods to potentially alpha status like when Zeus had a stun on his 3, and when Fenrir's 3 could crit... good times... good broken times.

People are going to take a moment to learn, mid lane is not for mages, solo is not for tanks and so on. They want you to decide what is meta and they build it. This will shine individuals who master their gods.

I think the key takeaway from this game is physical power (Strength?) is not for mages. Both Kuku and Zeus were building physical power.

I feel like there’s barely any impact when landing abilities. When I do Athena’s dash I have to actually look for the damage numbers because god knows I can barely tell, visually, if it has hit.

Always on point w the vids Incon👍 Have to say I was a bit disappointed. After a few games the shiny new features kind of wore off and I realized the replay-ability was lacking with so many of the gods already available in the first not available. Also had some connectivity problems, and the UI seems like a but “too much” all over my screen compared to the first. It is an alpha but I can’t see why I should buy should have to buy the legacy support pack to get 50->100% of the gems spent in the first when it really just feels like an early smite 1 with different items and new graphics. Feels like a shitty FOMO and micro-transaction move than anything else. Do like the new audio from abilities and creatures a like though that was a great addition.

Honestly my biggest complaint so far is actually the lanes being so narrow and not having 2 active slots. It feels bad giving up an item for blink.

Be careful using jumps everybody is you die while in animation you are unable to use abilities or autos. Dying or closing app seems to not work as a fix

So I went ahead and bought the founders pack because of course I did. I've wasted too much money on skins in smite one to let all those gems go to waste in smite 2. So I'm hopeful that this game is controller supported decently well. I could never get into this game with mouse and keyboard. I suck with mouse and keyboard anyways.

i dont really care what anyone says, this did not have to be a sequel. this visual update is not nearly big enough to warrant a complete rebrand. for example; League's overhaul was substantial and they were able to keep it through the same client and in fact updated all of our skins along the way. i get that its no OW2 dumpster-fire but i still cant justify losing all my skins if i chose to play this version of the game.

Smite 1 is on unreal engine 3 from 2007 and is super limited on what you can do with it compared to unreal engine 5 which smite 2 is on, UE5 is easier to work with and are what most devs are learning to use not a outdated engine like UE3

The minions are super easy to kill. The towers are super easy to kill. The Titan is super easy to kill. Everyone does a million damage. Games take 15 minutes most of the time. And Ymir can build Critical Strike chance. Smite 2 is a joke.

generally just a long due overhaul, smite was always a game that was a bit behind on engine and bugs and this gives them a new start and capture a new audience. as much as i hate losing my stuff.. if it means that smite has another chance at getting popular im all for it. and yeah old gen will be left behind at some point anyhow.

And most of the content is not even new. Same lanes, minions, jungle camps, ability system... Are they counting on graphics, sound and animation to attract new players? Because that's silly.
