Oops I confused the dates on 11:05. I’m saying that the Orthodox Christmas is on the 13th of January but actually it’s on the 7th of January. And the holiday celebrated on the 13th is “Old New Year” (it’s connected with the calendar switching)..

First let me just say I am new to your channel. Your vlog from your stay in Minnesota was recommended to me by KZbin probably because I follow exchange programs to the United States. I was so impressed that I became curious enough to watch more. I was not disappointed but had hoped I would see more videos from your travels and impressions of the USA. Having said that I find you to be a super intelligent young lady with your vast interest in life and knowledge of the world around you. You don't seem to arbitrarily except things as they are but question why, like most scholars. You definitely have your own opinions and not afraid to express them intellectually. It is my hope that you are able to achieve your dreams and nothing holds you back. Hope you get a chance to return to the United States someday. All the best to you and your future! Your English is amazing by the way. 🇺🇸

I think I finally pinpointed why so many people including myself are drawn to your channel. You articulate and portray yourself to be ordinary, yet, therein lies the human connection. In some way, you put the you back into KZbin. You express your vulnerabilities and frustration in only so many words. You don’t have a lot, yet you’re so full of life and opinions. You’re resilient. In many ways I see a part of myself in you. And you’re definitely above average intelligence combined with high creativity. You can abstract your thoughts quite well, which isn’t an easy thing to do. I can almost feel myself living in your shoes even though We haven’t met. Also, in some ways, it’s all just an escape. Stay hungry, stay foolish.

In Argentina, shoes hanging from powerlines are a sign used by gangs and drug dealers to indicate that you could buy drugs at that location. You simply go there, stand for a while and someone approaches you and offers you some. On another note, don't you think that Khabarovsk under the snow looks a little bit like some areas of Chicago in winter? I see some resemblance between both cities

Pushkin's 'The Captains Daughter' is one of my favorite stories. From what I have read about his poetry, it is said that you should be fluent in Russian to really understand it and that it doesn't translate well to some (most) other languages. Another book that I like is Mikhail Bulgakov's 'The Master and Margarita'. Of course I have read Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Gogol, Lermontov, Turgenev, and other Russian writers. I also really enjoyed Turgenev's 'A Sportsman's Sketches' too.

I am so pleased to have found your channel. I am completely charmed by your sweetness, honesty, sincerity, dry humor, and how you share your life experiences with us. Your videos are a bright spot in my day. I especially noted your comments about religion. Even with the various problems with the orthodox church in Russia, I liked that you said your father reads the Bible and sometimes attends church and that you respect people who believe in God. I would encourage you to see the wisdom in what he is doing and not be an atheist. God loves to talk to us directly through his Word. He made you and has a wonderful purpose for you. This hymn is my message of hope to you today: "Praise ye the Lord! Tis good to raise your hearts and voices in his praise. His nature and his works unite to make this duty your delight. His saints are lovely in his sight; He views his children with delight; He sees their hope, he knows their fear, and looks and loves his image here."

You pointed out the fallen tree limbs. When it snows before the leaves have fallen from the trees, the weight of the snow can cause the limbs to break off the tree. My trees one year had even some big limbs come crashing down. Fortunately, most years the leaves have already fallen before the first snow comes along. I enjoy your interesting commentary.

I wonder how much the aftermath of WW2 has to do with the condition in which many of the buildings are in? I grew up in southeastern U.S. and sure, we study WW2 in school but all we are taught about is the atrocities that Stalin committed so it's sort of engraved in our minds that "The Bad Guy" lost and everything is better now. But I don't think a lot of us realize that even though Stalin did some horrible things, there was probably still a massive negative economic impact for the Soviet Union after the war. I'm sure there's a lot that I do not know but World History is a hobby of mine and I plan to travel when the pandemic is over. Thanks for your videos...I believe they are so much more than just entertaining since you are educating so many people at the same time. Thank you!

This is a very interesting video, you have an eye for the unusual, but, boy, is that a depressing city. I don't think I could live there.

Believe me, everything is not as bad as it seems in this video. It's just such a genre. In the era of Instagram glamour and bragging, such a view of reality is in demand. Of course, if you choose the worst weather, and shoot the most shabby buildings of graffiti and garbage dumps, then we will get the corresponding result. I myself live in this city and watch these videos with interest as an alternative view of reality. You watch such a video and you realize that everything is not so bad for you yourself. Here is another alternative view of the same city, please see and compare videos. I think in your city you can shoot both videos))) kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaendIGwerNmidk

@@aucourant9998 Thank you for the complement. It's really amazing how video can influence perception. But the first and second videos are only part of the truth. Our climate is different in that the spring and autumn are very short. Summers are hot and winters are frosty. What you see in Natasha's video lasts no more than two weeks, and then winter. This is how it looks through the eyes of a local blogger who is filming a video for the Russians. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5WVm5mdmJtorrc

I enjoyed watching your video! Thank you for the tour. I got a chuckle from the shoes over the power line. I’ve seen that here, too, but never thought too much about it.. maybe people are bored. LoL. I especially enjoyed your comments about religious life in Russia. It’s interesting that we are so far apart in the world and yet, in part, it was because of the spirituality of Russia that I was led to the Orthodox Church in America in 2006. Happy New Year to you! ⭐️

@@georgeeko That is not a nice thing to say. Yes, she is pretty, but her personal life should not form part of your judgment. She should be free to date (or not date) who she wants.

Is this you trying to ask about the differences between Russian and US courtship, or do you just want to know if she's available? Either way, I think it's very personal and should not be asked, only volunteered. In social media, it's difficult enough to keep your private life private.
