In this adventure, I take my first solo camping trip in our Winnebago Sprinter Ekko “Dirty Dolly”. While I'm pretty familiar with all its ins and outs, things can definitely feel different when you're out there on your own. This trip included exploring some amazing spots like Devil's Punchbowl, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and the Historic Newport Bayfront. I'll share the stunning beauty of the Oregon coast, my overnight experience, and how the EKKO's systems came together-did everything work as planned? Let's find out!

I just returned from eight days in Newport, renting a bungalow on the beach with three other Sisters On The Fly… Definitely will be returning with my EKKO but it’s a long drive from Florida! I fell in love with the Oregon coast and visited the same places that you have in your video… What a special place, especially in the winter when it’s not crowded! i’ve done a lot of solo, travel and really enjoy the peacefulness!

Excellent job Michelle! I’ve always just driven through Newport on the way to/from Seattle. Next time I’m stopping. Hopefully in my own Sprekko (one day)! Got to ask, how much OCCC did you gain/lose with the single rear wheel/ suspension upgrade?

Thanks! Newport is definitely worth a stop-lots to see and do! As for the OCCC, with the Super Single conversion and suspension upgrades, we did add some weight, but nothing really worth noting. Example, the Super Singles with tires actually weighed less the factory 6 tires/wheels and spare. I forget the total weight difference, but roughly 75 lbs. less with the Super Single. It also improved handling and ride quality significantly. But overall, the trade-off has been well worth it! Hope you get your own SPREKKO soon!

Great question, Winnebago, utilizes a magnetic catch that secures the screen door to the main entry door, and the screen door hinge is integrated into the main door's hinging system. Thank you for checking out our video.

"Sea foam?" I've lived at the beach in California for years and now in Oregon for 2 decades. I have never seen this stuff. Is it some kind of pollution? It's sickening looking. Looks like the foam you see on the creeks where they built the Georgia Pacific plant. In other words, a leftover of the manufacture of toxic chemicals. We see foam like that where toxic run-off gets into waterways.

Hello, thank you for watching ✌️ Sea foam is actually a natural occurrence caused by the agitation of seawater, especially when it contains organic material like plankton or algae. While pollution can sometimes contribute to foam in certain areas, most coastal sea foam is harmless and part of the ocean's natural cycle.
