First SPLINTERGRAFT Played In HEARTHSTONE HISTORY? | QUEST DRUID | THE WITCHWOOD | DISGUISED TOAST

Splintergraft, the VERY interesting Druid Legendary doesn't see a lot of play. Disguised Toast looks to change that with his Splintergraft OTK Deck!

Okay, there is small list of combos with Splintergraft I could think of: In wild there is one two mana ozee wich creates copy of itself at the end of your turn... You could play both this minion AND Splintergraft in one turn, to get next turn 10 mana 20/20 stats spread on two minions... In general minions wich generate copies of minions could be strong. For example: Dopper Gangster + Splintergraft. 5 mana 2/2 wich creates two copies of himself. After conversion it would be 10 mana 10/10 wich creates two 10/10 copies of himself. You could get 10 mana 10/10 rush and lifesteal minion... In general rush and charge seems extremly powerfull on this card too because of imediate utilization of stats. Also Aviana into Kun refreshing mana into Splintergraft played on Kun into another mana refresh... should potencialy unlock some combos not reachable before? Can't think of a single combo wich would require soo much mana in one turn while cost of all minions is (1)... but who knows... Also... All shapeshifting worgen cards could work preety well for one reason: After swaping from human or worgen form (or the other way around), they reset their cost, but not stats. So after any worgen card into Splintergraft played on it, you could play next turn extremly cheap minion with 10/10 stats. There is one 2 mana Worgen with +1 Spell Damage, wich in next turn would be 2 mana 10/10 with Spell Damage +1. I expect it to be a bug tho, so... propably they will change that one too... Giants could work extremly well with Splintergraft. You play free Giant, on top of that you play Splintergraft, and then you can imediately play another, bigger, giant. Playing those two cards alone you can get 26/26 stats on the board spread on three minions. Preety damn impresive if you ask me. The only issue is to make first giant free... Some Giants are easier to play around. Another idea would be to create copy of minion with powerfull effect wich obviously is worth playing alone. So... no specific "combo" piece, but rather basic thread generator. In Reno decks you can get extra 10/10 Reno Jackson wich also heals you fully. And is thread on the board at the same time. Copying Deathwing wich summons dragons from our hand could work as a way to add big dragon to our hand (if Dragon Druid even becomes a thing). But then... you could just run another big Dragon in place of Splintergraft... Brann into Splintergraft could create two 10/10, wihout special imediate effect. It makes all battlecries doubled wich is nice, but there are much better cards to play Splintergraft on. Yogg Saron propably won't survive most of the time... But if you manage to copy Yogg, next Yogg will cost the same but be bigger. Perfect for Pyroblast target, don't you think? Playing Splintergraft on Splintergraft would means infinite 10 mana 10/10... Well... Jades are cheaper and easier to pull of tho... No use on minion with Echo because there is no mana for extra copies of this minion... You could play Wisp with Splintergraft to have turn 8: generate card to play on turn 10... But then you play card wihout any use overwise soo... I wonder if we play Splintergraft on C'tun we will get flat 10 mana 10/10, or 10 mana 10/10 + all buffs we placed on our C'tun from other cards? It would be nice if someone tries this out just to see! (Not going to make C'tun sudently comeback tho... that would be too costly combo to pull of really...).

I actually crafted Splintergraft, just like I said I would. I use it in standard with tons of taunts and board control cards. It's not a bad deck. For some reason, I haven't seen anyone but me use Splintergraft with Saronite Chain Gang. Also Splintergraft works very well with Baleful Bankers. Infinite value

its fun in an odds deck with the moth card. I've had some decent success in wild. You get to run Djinni, loatheb, and deathlords. No one ever expects pint sized potion into void ripper, its a lot of fun.

Im guessing the art side and the card design side of the office both just make cool ideas they want in the game, then the match them up as best they can later. Hence why you get well matched cards, and "well shit, our art team put together a cool legendary with written up lore, and we dont have anything that matches it, just stick whatever on it and ship it" cards

tried splintergraft into c'thun splintergraft says (put a 10-mana 10/10 copy of a minion to ur hand). So i though, despite its sayings, we would have a c'thun with all the previous buffs, since all c'thun buffers says "give +X/X to ur c'thun WHEREVER he is. But looks like splintergaft's effects overwrites everything and sets ur copied c'thun to 10/10.

There is a much easier and better use for splintergraft. Make a token deck with wispering wood, spreading plague, soul of the forest, sea giant, and all the other wide board tools, but jam two corridor creepers, the splintergraft, and an ixlid in. This lets you hold a creeper to play on 8, along with the splintergraft, putting 10/13 in stats on the board and adding a 10/10 corridor creeper to your hand. Even if they just trade in three minions to kill your two, you can drop the ixlid and double 10/10 corridor creepers the next turn--alternately, you can play ixlid + faceless manipulator + 10/10 creeper to summon two ixlid, and 40/40 in creepers. This doesn't require you to build a deck around the strategy and it matches up really well against paladins because you can flood the board and wipe theirs with swipe (warlocks will kill you).

You almost missed lethal. If you had played Ilixid fisrt you could deal 27 damage, and even if he had 2 empty spaces on board at least 1 Leeroy would survive 100%, + the chance for both to survive is way higher if you have 7 minions on board.
