I like the commercial you were playing about the Edsel being price down. well it was an albatross and we all know it. I'm glad there are people who like this car. There's things that I like about it. Very interesting approach you have to this video. Highly creative.

Love the Edsel, especially the '59...I think the front end treatment and tail light arrangement looks better than the '59 Ford..less clumsy and busy looking. I see several sources that state there aren't many more than 5000 Edsels that still exist..and post-'58 production numbers do indeed seem low, even for the more common models...yet, except for '60 convertibles and a few other rare models, Edsels remain very modestly priced..doesn't make much sense to me. Plus, just about EVERY "Barn Find", "Car Hoard", or old car junkyard/salvage videos you see on YT, there seems to be at least 1 or 2 Edsels sitting around in them...sometimes several...which leads me to question the low survivor numbers....

I think that the Edsel is a good looking car. Better looking than todays cookie cutter SUV's and four door station wagon trucks coming off the assembly lines today in Detroit. That is a fact.

The Ford Edsel was Fords biggest sales Flop, in 1964 the Mustang was one their biggest successes ever!!

Maybe so. However the vehicles being churned out today at the assembly lines, both these ugly cookie cutter SUV's and four door station wagon trucks, the Edsel is a beautiful looking car in comparison to what's available out there today.

Don,t get me wrong, i agree 110% modern are horrible appliances on wheels A to B transport, the Edsel was an ugly duckling that later turned into the beautiful swan when we see the shit boxes offered today!!

mind if I ask, what are you washing those parts down with? I've NEVER seen parts get cleaned down so quickly and I end up taking hours scrubbing away at them. You did it in minutes! congrats on the drive too, always nice to see another Edsel hitting the road again

It’s stanisol, a petroleum based parts cleaner/degreaser. Similar in composition to either diesel or kerosene. It works wonders, I let the parts rinse in it before working it over with the brush and scotch brite.

Why is the dashboard creased? Still off timing and needs a complete exhaust system It looks great overall. I wonder if one of these Edsels could handle a small 260 V8. That went in Ranchero , Falcon or Mercury Comet. For gas conscience. Or a 289 that went in Cougars or Mustangs.

I need to take off the dash pad and paint the metal dash underneath until I can get a padded dash for it. I finally have it timed and did end up getting exhaust on it.
