This is is first time in nearly 50 years that two steam trains have crossed at Thuxton in Norfolk on the Mid-Norfolk Railway. It happened on July 9 2011 and was made posible by the construction of a new passing loop. The railway was hosting GWR 6000 Class 4-6-0 No 6023 'King Edward II' and GWR 0-6-0PT No.9466.
