First Stemme flight in 15 months

All Stemme S12s were grounded in December 2021 due to a clutch failure issue, see my clutch failure video. By spring of 2022 they found the problem and had a fix but the USA FAA took many months to approve that fix. My last flight being Nov 2021. In the meantime, Stemme USA offered to buy my S12 s/n 12-012 and it was replaced with 12-045 a couple months ago. Today we had a beautiful clear sky with not excessive wind so I got my first flight in my S12G with dual Garmin G3X. Too bad they don't really show on the video.
The wind was gusty from the south which made the takeoff interesting, landing REALLY interesting. And, somehow I skipped the two steps in my checklist telling me to lock the spoilers which you will see right after takeoff.
The S12 is an A M A Z I N G self launching sailplane! I hope to fly tomorrow too, we will see.
