He still has some flaws to work out his game but overall he is a great player but I do think the rockets need to bulls around Sengun and make sure not to make him unhappy or want to leave because like they said there is not much players like Sengun and if the rockets develop him correctly he could be one of the top stars like Luka and jokic him and green together are going to be a problem for years if they can keep them both happy
@timlotАй бұрын
If you want to win you have to score the basket. Jalen is a multi-denominational scorer. Sengun is good to run the offense through for screens and whatnot and post ups here and there, but you are not winning with Sengun being the primary scorer.
@austina.3677Ай бұрын
There’s a difference between being the primary scorer and being the best player on the team. Sengun is in a slump right but he could easily average 25 points once he gets out of it. Especially now with Jalen playing well not allowing teams to double Sengun every game and vice versa
@timlotАй бұрын
@@austina.3677 Sengun's shooting (right now) isn't consistent enough to avg. 25. The "best player" on a team could be an old veteran that helps build team chemistry. You still need a scorer to actually win games. Preferably one that can do it all. Shoot threes, drive to the basket, post up, etc, and do it at a high level. True Jalen playing well will not allow teams to double Sengun, but as we saw last year when Sengun got hurt Jalen can lead the team to wins without him.
@thedetailspot6107Ай бұрын
@@timlot I agree, Jokic is good but he needed Murray, and I dont think you can just find a good scoring guard anywhere.
@austina.3677Ай бұрын
@@timlot no he can’t though, Jalen started getting doubled after that little win streak and we started loosing again. That’s why we missed the play in. You need both guys to make noise. It’s like Kobe and gasol. Kobe doesn’t win anything without gasol and vice versa.
@austina.3677Ай бұрын
@@timlot and sengun’s shooting can be consistent enough for 25 points, especially if he doesn’t have to worry about getting double teamed constantly. He averaged 21 points last year when Jalen wasn’t worth a damn.

JG is playing better than Sengun in the last five games but the hosts' arguments are correct as well. Sengun is more difficult to replace in the market than Green.
@jmard3101Ай бұрын
Aaaaaannnd ppl still disrespect my boy JG, while sengun, in 5 straight games has been sitting every last 5 mins in the last quarter
@RobCortez0416Ай бұрын
I'm not ready to say 5 games is more indicative of who Sengun is compared to 3 years. The good thing is while it's a great topic on a sports show, the team doesn't need to decide between one or the other. They're great together.

A joke of a statement, If a attacking and aggressive scoring guard was a dime a dozen or something.

There are also very few explosive guards today, because NBA teams these days are going crazy for point centers. Rockets is lucky enough to have both.

Crazy all the comments getting in on the false choice. Sengun will get out of this little slump and Jalen looks like he's figured it out. I'm glad the Rockets have them both.

Nahhh the hater to jalen here we go again, why they hate jalen now he shows up he still get hated while sengun playing like a bum right now they say no he just this and that pshh stop on that bs. Come on be appreciative or maybe you want jgreen to play terrible that make this guy's happy.

why tf everybody keep saying defense is our biggest problem? 😭😭😭 like i just dont see anything wrong with our defense (maybe im biased) take away the ticky tack fouls the refs calling, players are not just getting past Luka or Kai or Klay, and if by any chance they do the help is there and perimeter rotations is solid. our biggest issue is fouling and rebounding and making the shots they should be making..we currently tied for 6th in team defensive ranking btw
@tehAmbiАй бұрын
In my opinion defensive rebounds is part of defense also. Yesterday we got cooked by offensive rebounds which gave us no control whatsoever during the game. Dallas really need to improve in that regard. The 2 bigs are fouling too much also. It feels like our players wants playoff officiating and did not adjust to regular season officiating. But I agree people are focusing too much on our defense especially when the mavs are way better since last year on that end, right now its mostly our offense being trash with Luka slump and inconsistency between the 2 bigs and PJ.

@DelonteJonesАй бұрын
Sengun has never been a closer. That was the issue last season. Green wasn’t ready yet and Sengun, despite having a breakout season, wasn’t a closer. That’s the difference between him and Green. You can put the ball in Jalen’s hand in the last minute and he’ll make something happen. Last season we were putting it FVV or Aaron Holiday hands at the end of games

I guest what they're saying is Sengun is the safe pick. he can't hurt the team with any superstar around him. jalen will take you further but he's more a complex player to build around.
@judarod1Ай бұрын
You have no idea what TF you talking about. There is no way you can build around Sengun. He's not that gifted of a Scorer. We already saw how you can build around Green. He's a winner as evidence when Sengun went down last season. Sengun is too sloppy, too slow, unalthelic and mistake-prone to build around him. Sengun need to defer more to the guards and forwards better than him.
@Moons_01Ай бұрын
@judarod1 by the looks of it, they're building around Sengun. he's a boarderline allstar last year. and still play solid up to this day. Jalen is obviously very skilled but just like Harden he's a one man show.
@dylloncumagun39429 күн бұрын
Jalen is the closer therefore it’s his team. Game on the line Jalen clears. Chandler hasn’t been watching it he thinks Sengun is more important.

Sengun been sitting out for almost all the games last few minutes. Franchise player who. How can he even close the game when he's a liability on defense and offense?? Baby Jokic more like undersize Jokic.

Nope, this is Green' team, period! Sengun better learn to defer more or find his butt on the bench more.
