I believe this was by far the best thing he could've done, four defenses this year, Carolina, Cincinatti, the Jets and now the Saints have learned how to shut Taylor down, you keep him in the pocket and make him a QB. Any noncasual Bills fan will know this. This is an issue. I don't just blame Tyrod, I believe he's better than his production levels show, but he has never been a Franchise QB and so McDermott and Dennison have not built this offense around him, this is an offense that Tyrod will not succeed in now that defenses have figured him out. On top of that, yes we are 5-4 and still in the playoff hunt, but we still have a game against the Chiefs and two games against the Patriots, those games are extremely unlikely for us to win, we have a game against the Colts and two games against Miami, we're very likely to win those in my opinion. So the key to whether we're most likely making the playoffs again or not comes next week against the Chargers, it determines if we're most likely 8-8 or 9-7. The Chargers have a great D-Line and decent D-Backs, there's no doubt that they would try to contain Taylor and we'd see another cringeworthy game. Also, the Chargers have a fantastic run game. This is a big issue because in those games where Tyrod was constantly stuffed, the opponents run game thrived. Lastly, Anthony Lynn has experience with Tyrod, he knows his strengths and weaknesses. With Peterman in that somewhat negates the disadvantage of him knowing our offense.

Tyrod Taylor has handled the constant criticism that he's just an average quarterback that can't get his team over the hump with dignity,humility and class. I wish him all the best. He just appears to be a half second late on his decision making.
